I tried to walk away but Jared blocked my path. If I turned right, he'd turn left; and I think he's doing it on purpose. I looked into his sparkling blue eyes and felt a spark ignite within me. Oh no.

"Um, excuse me, Jared, but I would like to use the bathroom and you're blocking the way," I told him. He didn't say anything, but just looked at me. His eyes held possessiveness and......love?

"Anything, for the future Luna" his voice held something I couldn't explain. Then, without another word, he walked away. I looked back at him and slowly my eyes traveled down to his butt.

'Damn! That ass though' A voice in my head echoed.

"Huh?" I asked out loud. A few people passing by looked at me like I had two heads. I shook it off and headed to the bathroom. I entered through the door and found Kelly Chullie; the meanest girl in school. Everyone hates her and her posse.

She turned to me and looked at me with pure hatred. On second thought, I don't have to pee. I slowly walked out of the bathroom and she stopped me.

"Where do you think you're going Sabrina?" she asked in her snotty tone before I could reach the door.

"Away from you. Got a problem?" I snapped back.

"Yes, I do actually. I saw you talking to Jared out there. Listen here you little slut, keep away from him or I will turn you inside out."

"Oh? Is that so? You won't do shit," I challenged. I stepped out side the door and headed to Spanish when she stepped out after me and turned me around.

"I won't say it again. Stay away from him," she told me, poison lacing her words.

"You just did sweet heart," I tried my best to sound sweet and innocent. She raised her hand and was about to slap me when Jared appeared out of nowhere. He grabbed her hand and put his other hand around my waist.

I looked up at him (he's a good 5 inches taller than me) in confusion, then at Kelly. She bowed her head slightly then, with a look shot at me, walked away. I wiggled out Jared's grasp and stepped back.

"Thanks but I had it," I told him.

"She was going to hit you. I couldn't let her," he replied.

I looked at him and he looked at me. I looked into his eyes and just got lost. This is the first time I actually looked at him. He had wavy, long blonde hair that was cut just before his shoulders. He was wearing a tight green t-shirt that made his shining blue eyes stick out. He was 18, only a year older. I suddenly realized where I was and was shocked back into reality.

"I-I have to get back to class." I stuttered. Why did he stop Kelly? Why couldn't he let her hit me? I walked away with these questions in my head. The rest of the day went by uneventfully.

I took the bus home because my mom was at work, my dad was busy, and my car broke down. When I got home, I started working on the history essay i have to do for English, and that math assignment Mrs. McColey gave us.

"Sabrina! Can you come down here for a minute?" my mom's home.

"Coming!"

When I got downstairs, my mom was holding chicken in her left hand and pork roast in the other. She looked at me and I smiled.

"Pork roast," we said together. I went back upstairs and took a shower. Then I had dinner and went to my room. It was about 8:30. I tried to fall asleep but I couldn't. I just couldn't get what Jared said out of my head. I fell asleep around 11, and I had a very vivid dream.
