I woke up that morning with a major headache. I turned my head to look at the clock; 4:30 a.m.. I rolled over, snuggled up to Jared, and closed my eyes.

I open my eyes again to see a cloudless blue sky. A bird tweets somewhere off to my right. I look around and see nothing but grass. I sat up. The grass nearly came up to my shoulder. I don't like high grass. You never know whats hiding in it. Suddenly, a little girl jumps up and squeals at me. She jumps on me, causing me to fall backward. She looks to be about five years old, with blue eyes and dark brown hair. I don't know this little girl, but I know that I have some connection to her. I stand, pick her up and spin her in the air.

"Mommy! Put me down!" She laughs. I gently put her down, scarcely daring to breathe. Did she just call me mommy? I sit down, staring at nothing. "Whats wrong, mommy?"

A tear slips down my cheek as she wraps her little 5-year-old hands around my neck, giving me a hug. She kisses my cheek. Her lips are so tiny.

"Nothing's wrong, Clara. Why don't you find daddy and tell him to come here?" The voice coming from me did not sound like my own, even though I knew it was. She smiles and runs off. This gives me a few minutes to think. So, I'm obviously dreaming. How this dream will turn out, though, is a completely different story, one I don't know the ending to. I think I'll just enjoy it while I can. Wait, did I just call her Clara?

"I found him!" She comes back dragging a man behind her. The man is about 18 with blue eyes and blonde hair that's cut just before his shoulders. I stand up and hug him.

"Jared." I whisper. "I'm so glad to see you." I breath in his smell, which is comforting, but different, somehow. I pull away to look at him, but instead of his stunning blue eyes, I see Iren's evil green ones. His smile is menacing. I scream and pull away.

"Come on, daddy!" Clara runs to him.

"Get away from him!" I scream. Clara runs to my side and looks at me sadly.

"Why, mommy?" She questioned. A tear runs down her face.

"Yes, why mommy?" Iren mocks. He steps closer and closer. "Your baby will be mine."

"You won't touch her." I push Clara behind me as I say this. Iren shifts and so do I. Clara screams. I nudge her onto my back.

'Leave us alone,' I growl. He charges and I turn on my heels and run. We burst into the woods, weaving in between the trees. I look to my left and see the form of Iren's wolf right beside me. He jumps on me, sending Clara flying.

"Mommy!" She screams as Iren jumps on her. I can't breathe, can't move; I am frozen in place. Her gargled screams for help are terrifying and I can do nothing but sit there and cry. I can smell the blood. The silence that comes after is worse then her painful screams. Iren stalks toward me, covered in blood. I look past him at the remains of the daughter I've always wanted, and yet will never have again. He gets so close that I can smell his musty fur.

"Clara, I'm sorry" I whisper before he pounces.

My vision grows dark and the tearing sounds of the flesh being ripped from my bones fade.

I burst up in bed in a panic, drenched in sweat. Jared grabs me and drags me back down. He mumbles something I don't understand. I put my face in the crook of his neck and breathe in; much better. I cry and cry until he starts to rub my head.

"Shhh it's okay. I won't let him do that," he whispers. My eyes shoot open. He saw my dream.

Sorry It's so short! I know I had to update something, so this is what I put. Besides, this chapter is kind of brutal. Sorry about that! Anyway, comment and tell me what you think!
