Chapter 19

"Please come again!" I said with a smile to the customer that left. Its been a week since I went to see Maru and Hana. Every day I've been visiting them and spending time with them, to make sure they like me before asking them if I can adopt them.

"Welcome to Stay Baking!" I said to a customer that walked in.

"Hi, can I get a sweet bread and a Lee Soojung?" Yoongi said as he walked to the counter. I laughed and leaned over to kiss his cheek.

"Back from work so soon?" I asked.

"Soon? Its 7:50." He chuckled. I widened my eyes and looked at the clock, and sure enough, it was 10 minutes until closing time.

"Time went by so fast." I mumbled. I took out the money in the cash register and started to count it for now. Yoongi chuckled and entertained himself with finding a radio station.

The shop has been doing pretty well, I've been making enough money to sustain a good life and for the shop. Roughly $750 a week, enough for ingredients and personal needs.

"Hey, im going to stay late tonight, I got to restock. You're free to stay or leave or whatever." I said as I was putting away the money.

"Can I help?" He said and came into view, smiling cutely. I clapped with a smile and nodded.

"It'll be fun!" He chuckled and nodded along.
I went outside and turned off the open sign. Then I went to the back and started setting up the kitchen to make cookies and macarons. Everything else had a pretty good number, so I didn't bother.

"Here." I said and passed Yoongi a plain white apron. I put on my pink apron from before and got out the needed ingredients.

"Why is yours so pretty?" He mumbled. I laughed and started taking mine off."Do you want to wear it?"

"No! I'm fine, white is my colour!" He said quickly, making me chuckle. I finished getting all the tools out and sighed.

"Where's the recipe?" He questioned. I pointed to my head and started measuring out the dry ingredients.

"You're so smart, aigoo!" He said while pinching my cheeks. I giggled and swatted his hands away.

"If you're not gonna help, go wait at home for me." I said, sticking my tongue out slightly. He shook his head and took the dry ingredients, mixing them together slightly. I sighed with a smile on my face. Once I measured everything out, I started to mix it all together.

"This is heaven!" Yoongi said through a mouthful of cookie. I finished baking all the treats finally, Yoongi staying beside me through it all. I nodded as I took a sip of my cold water. We baked some cookies, decorated some mini-cakes,made a dozen creme brûlées and an assortment of macarons. More then I expected, but Yoongi said he wanted to make more after the macarons and cookies.

"You ready to go?" I asked him, purse in hand. He nodded and put his arm around my shoulders, guiding me to the door.

We walked to where he parked his car, and him being a gentleman, opened my door for me. I sat down and sighed. My feet felt sore from all the running around today. He got in and started the car.

"Do you want to go out to eat? My treat." He said, eyes on the road.

"Id love to, but my feet are killing me, I just wanna lay down, watch movies and cuddle." I laughed. He smiled over at me quickly before returning his eyes to the road.

"Can I drop by my house quickly? I'm probably gonna fall asleep there, so I want to get some clothes, if that's okay with you?" He asked. I nodded and took one of his hands in my own, as he put his hand on my lap.

"You can bring over a couple of clothing over if you'd like, just so you don't have to bring it back and forward all the time. It's like, what, the 9th time you've stayed over? Might as well be prepared." I said with a shrug. He nodded, and we were on our way to his house.

He unlocked the door, and Holly came rushing towards us. I smiled and bent down to pet her, and she licked my cheek.

"Hello, baby girl! I know, it's been so long! I've missed you, aigoo." I cooed at her. Yoongi smiled and walked to his room, and I could hear him shuffling clothes about. I picked Holly up and went to the kitchen, to make sure that she had food.

"Holly, you need to eat sweetie!" Her bowl was full, and I know Yoongi filled that up this morning. She made a small whine and jumped from my arms, then started to eat. I smiled, and got myself a small glass of water.

Minutes later, after I washed my cup and sat down with Holly , he came down with a small luggage.

"You ready?" He questioned. I nodded and placed Holly off my lap, and got up.

"Bye baby, I'll miss you!" I said as I blew her kisses.

"You know, you show our pets more love than you do me." He joked. I shrugged and hugged him, startling him slightly.

"Sowwy." I said in a childish tone,making him chuckle and kiss my head.

"It's fine, baby. Come on, I saw this movie I'd like to watch online with you." He said. I nodded and took one of his hands as his other held his suitcase. We walked out, making sure holly was safe and the door was locked, and continued on to my house.
