I sat in a new apartment room. I had pretty much nothing. I left some money in the bank so I could buy this small apartment.

I also bought food. I had no job at all.

I got up off of my bed and put on my coat. I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. I saw the sad face that didn't smile.

I knew that I needed to do something about that. I went outside and hailed a taxi.

"New York storage compartments please," I told the driver.

As we drove I could see all the damage the city had gone through. It was already over a year and yet it was still in emotional pain.

People seemed scared and life was a lot different. All of the businesses had been so scared that they practiced procedures every week.

The car stopped at the storage place. I got out. I paid the driver and took the key from my pocket.

"Getting every thing back together?" Natasha came out from the darkness.

"Not many people can sneak up on me," I smiled in shock.

"Not the first time I heard that," she walked up to me with a folder in her hand. She handed it to me.

"What's this?" I took it. It was quite heavy.

"Your training information."

I looked up to her.

"I thought Thor was enough?" I opened up the folder.

"We need you, by the way we have all of your stuff at HQ," she smiled.

A black car pulled up. Natasha motioned me to get in.

I did.

Finally something to do!!

*****6 months later

"Get up," Natasha yelled at me. I was already on my toes and I had grabbed my sword and hit her body with it. She didn't realize how swift I was.

She pinned me down and grabbed a knife. I held my sword to her neck.

She looked up and sighed. The simulation turned off.

"Will you ever not fall for that?" I hid a smug smile. Natasha smiled and punched me in the arm.

Nick Fury came in.

"It seems your ready to go along with Black Widow and the Captain. I felt excitement.

Captain America a.k.a. Steve Rogers was my favorite human in S.H.I.E.L.D. I really wanted to work with him.

"Thank you director," I shook his hand. Natasha and I walked out of the simulator.

"So now you are up with the big guns, maybe you will be an avenger," Natasha yawned.

"Ha, that's for humans my dear which I am not by birth," I smiled.

"By birth but down there somewhere is a lot of human, besides if Loki does end up being alive we can take him down even more easily with your help," She opened the door to the living quarters. I followed her in our rooms were right next to each other.

"Maybe, but I watched him die.."my voice trailed off. I felt a pressure on my chest 8 months had passed by. It had felt like a lifetime.

"So I will see you in the morning?" She quickly changed the subject. I nodded.

"Good, Steve absolutely adores your fighting skills and your planning, you will make a great fit on our team," She opened her door.

"I hope so. Good night," I opened my door and went in.

"Night," she replied and went in to her own room. I closed my door and went to my closet. I took out my pajamas and went to the shower.

I took off my clothes and looked at myself in the mirror. My body had black and blue bruises on it. It was thinner with more muscle. I turned on the shower and got in. I washed my body and got out. I dried off and got my pjs on.

The mirror was still fogged up. I drew a heart in it and spelt Loki. Such a childish act but I couldn't help it.

"Verdandi why do you keep doing that," I said to myself

"Because I miss him," I whispered as I opened the door to my room.

"He's gone there's nothing you can do,"I whispered.

I erased him from my mind.

"Your wrong he is still out there, I just know it," I looked at the wall. I turned off all the lights and felt my way to the bed. I laid down and fell into a deep sleep.

Tomorrow I was going to need it.
