It was many missions after that I realized I didn't really have a superhero name. I would watch the news and see myself.
"Now, watch this a female superhero saves these three children from the building that is ravaged with fire! Incredible!" reporters smiled at the monitor.
"Who is she? Part of SHIELD?" people would talk.
I decided to go to Natasha a.k.a Black Widow.
"I think you should have a name," she paced my room.
"But what? I mean Verdandi is quite a long different name than Thor," I sat on my bed with my outfit.
"Well you have a white cape and a black dress," she pointed out. I had black boots as well. I had altered it just a bit.
"What about Black Crow?" she said.
"Hawkeye, Falcon and Black Crow?" I almost laughed. Come to Shield will give you a bird name.
"Ooh I got it how bout the Stork or how bout Scary Chicken?" I laughed.
She didn't laugh.
"No, Black Snow?" she rolled her eyes "never mind that's stupid,"
"I actually like that," I stood up and looked at my reflection.
"What if I got a black mask to go over my eyes," I turned to her.
"That might actually work," she smiled.
Three days later I was in Los Angeles. I had my black mask. I saved 43 people in a train accident.
A reporter came up to me. Actually multiple did.
"Excuse me who do you work for," one asked.
"Shield," I said curtly.
"What's your name?"
"Who are you?"
"My name is Black Snow," I said. I flew up to the sky and went back to HQ.
I met Natasha and Steve there.
"Man I miss you on the team," Steve smiled.
"Fury thought it would be better to not have a couple working on the same team," I joked.
Natasha rolled her eyes.
"I told them who I was, well that I was Black Snow," I told Natasha.
"Now the world knows you," she smiled.
"I'm sure they will forget soon," I shrugged.
"What if you told them you were an Asgardian?" Steve asked. I started walking to the bridge. They followed.
"I dunno, probably ask if I had thoughts of taking over the world," I joked. It was true. People were terrified of Asgardians. I was going to lie to their faces. I was going to tell them I am human.
Only by birth am I not anyways.
"We gotta go we have an special mission tonight," Nat said. I nodded. They turned around and left. I opened the door to the bridge.
"Verda good work today," Hill waved at me. I winked at her. We had become great friends. I saw Fury and he was talking to Coulson on the monitor.
I waited until they stopped talking. Fury noticed me.
"Black Snow?" he smirked.
"Ya," I smiled.
"Good name," he turned.
Fury didn't really talk to me a whole lot. Steve and I were the only super humans that stayed at shield.
I went back to my room. I wanted to take a shower. I found a note under my door.
'Water pipes not working, take showers in the locker rooms.
-management"
I sighed. I closed the door and grabbed a towel. I took of my suit and set it in the compartment under my bed. I always kept the dagger on me. I put on sweat pants and a pullover sweater. I turned to open the door.
"Your the last person I thought would join Shield," a voice called. A voice I knew. I turned around.
Loki sat in the chair.
"Your not real," I gasped. I waved my hand. He stayed there. A smile came over his face.
"I'm glad you mastered that skill, I mean reading mind and taking the idea, impressive," he stood up and took a step towards me. I grabbed the dagger.
"I watched you die," I held the dagger out. He held up his hands and took another step. I was then grabbed from behind.
Another Loki was behind me. He grabbed the dagger. The one in front of me faded away. I turned around.
Loki.
His green eyes and his black hair. I wanted to cry.
"I can't stay, come back home please," he whispered. He was then gone.
I must have imagined it. I didn't feel like taking a shower. I looked at the floor. His dagger laid there. I bent down and picked it up. I laid on my bed and put the dagger on the side tables I closed my eyes.
I needed time to think.
