I usually didn't ask anything from Fury unless it was of extreme importance. I packed up all of my clothes. I made sure my small room was picked up and empty. I hadn't asked permission to go home yet but even if he wouldn't let me I was still going.
I put my stuff in a pile by my door. I walked to the bridge. I saw my friends and allies. If they had saw what I had seen would they be freaking out. As far as anyone was concerned Loki was dead.
I finally made it to the bridge. I saw all of the Avengers arguing over something. A robot I think.
I saw Hill rolling her eyes and shaking her head.
"What's going?" I asked.
"Their are trying to find out if this robot is a threat or a great success," she whispered.
"Where's Fury?" I whispered back. She pointed her head towards the command deck outlook. I crept by as I approached him.
"Agent Verdandi ," he looked at me.
"Director," I nodded towards him.
"What brings you here?" He looked out the window.
"I need to return to Asgard, I just have been here too long and right now home is the best place for me," I sighed.
"I suppose it's hard knowing you could go home and stay there. And yet you fight down here with humans..why?" he looked back at me.
"An Asgardian of mine once came and tried to destroy this home, I fight for the side I belong on," I felt proud to say that.
"I relieve you of your position until you return from your home," he turned and walked to the Avengers.
"Thank you sir," I walked back to my room. I grabbed my stuff. I walked towards the bridge again. Thor was the only in there.
"I hear you are going home back to Asgard," he had his arms crossed.
"Yes," I stopped.
"I bid you a farewell then," he hugged me.
"How is it up there anyway," I asked as I pulled away.
"Good, it's back to normal," he smiled. I nodded and waved goodbye. I walked to Steve's room. I knocked.
"Come in," a voice called out.
I walked in. Steve stood with a white shirt and jeans. I waved at him.
"Your leaving huh?" he didn't smile.
"Yes," I felt a twinge of sadness. He actually looked hurt.
"You will come back?" he stared at me with a frown. I hugged him.
"I may be sooner than you think," I smiled into his shoulder.
I let go and I grabbed my stuff. I looked back at him one last time. He sadly smiled and waved.
"Goodbye Steve," I opened the door.
"Bye Verdandi," he whispered. I left him standing there.
I wasn't sure how I felt about Steve. He was one of the greatest guys I had ever met. I really did like him. I was sure he liked me back.
I thought about all the fun times we had. Ever since Bucky had come back things were different.
I went out to the deck. Some of the jets were out. I flew down to the ground feeling the falling of my body.
I landed on the ground. I looked back up. I waited until I knew the helipad was gone. I then called out.
"Heimdall, bring me home." I felt the rushing feeling. Seconds later I was in the Bifrost.
"Welcome back home Verdandi," Heimdall smiled at me.
I smiled back ran flew to the palace. I couldn't wait to be back here.
I had a lot of investigating to do.
I was going to find Loki. The love of my life.
