I woke up to a knock on my door. I got up out of bed. I opened my door and rubbed my eyes.
"Sorry is this a bad time," It was Steve Rogers.
"When you work for shield you don't get to have a time for yourself," I motioned him in. He was already in his outfit. They kept pestering me about my outfit.Fury was going to get me one.
"So are you ready to become a full time agent?" Steve turned to me.
"Yes, I suppose," I sat on my bed. I smelt terrible. I just took a shower last night though.
"Good, it's different we knew each other before," Steve sat in my recliner.
"We'll not really I mean I was in that war fighting in the same camp you were, we didn't know each other," I grabbed a brush and started combing my hair.
"Still it makes you wonder, we could have sat next to each other, I could have known an Asgardian before Thor and Loki," he smiled. I turned and winced at Lokis name.
"Oh," I shook my head and laughed. I smiled at him. If he had known me maybe... I could have saved him? Probably not.
"I know," he stood. He was smiling anymore.
"Know what?" I put down my brush.
"About you and Loki," he whispered. Silence overcame my room. I felt some small tears.
"I'm sorry," He came toward me. I backed up and shook my head.
"It's fine, I'm over him," I looked out the window. I even lied to myself.. all the time.
"We should go, I have to get on some actual clothing," I quickly changed the subject.
"Yeah," he started to leave, he stopped and turned, "if you ever want to um talk." his eyes sad with understanding.
"Yeah, thanks" I smiled. He left and shut the door. I could smell something horrible. I sniffed my hair it was wet with last nights shower. It smelt like shampoo. I sniffed my armpits. They smelt gross. I felt hot but....
I took a quick shower. I got out and heard a knock at my door.
"Let's all visit Verdandi today," I muttered and threw on a shirt and some sweats. I opened the door. Agent Hill stood with a box in her hand.
"Here ya go, no charge," Hill smiled. I took the box. It was from Nick Fury.
"So Fury likes older woman in lingerie?" I winked to Hill. She quickly smiled and left. I opened the box. Inside was a suit of armor. Not the medieval iron ones. It was Asgardian hand made.
It was my mothers armor sort of. It had less bulkiness I could be silent with it. It had a white cape it was a long dress long sleeves and a diamond like hilt for my sword.
I stared at it. It was beautiful yet sinister. I sat on my bed. My mother had died long before I fell. How did they get such a thing? I whispered a prayer of thanks to Odin.
I took off the shirt and sweats. I put on the armor. I let my hair hang loose on my back. I reached under my bed for my sword. I put it in the hilt.
I found a small place where a dagger could go. It was on my thigh. I went to my bathroom. I lifted a tile. A small compartment was underneath. I reached in and grabbed a small box with Asgardian carvings on it. I opened it.
Loki's dagger was inside it. I grabbed it. It was all I had left of him. I put it on my thigh and shut the box and his it again. I stood up and turned off all my lights. I walked out my door.
I walked to the meeting room on the bridge. Natasha and Steve were already there. I watched their faces as the stared at me.
"Wow!" Natasha came up to me.
"Thanks,"I smiled as I felt my cheeks flush. Steve smiled as I sat next to him.
"You must be here to make everything look good," he whispered.
"I got do something other than look pretty," I winked. He didn't really fully understand sarcasm as much as he would like.
"All right north western Canada has shown signs of a possible threat, I want this threat to be dismantled, do what you have to, I want this done right got it?" Fury had grown tense since New York. In reality who wouldn't grow tense.
Fury dismissed us. An hour later we were in the air.
I looked at our team. A group of great soldiers.
I stood up and looked out the cockpit. I didn't even know the plan yet.
"You could leave come home back to me," Loki's voice echoed in my brain.
"We could get married and have kids," he kept whispering.
I shook my head.
I looked at my new friends. I was with them now.
