NOVA POV:

Aleks smiles at the longs racks (heh heh that's what she said) of games that circled around the store. Game Stop. Amazing. His eyes dart around every title, looking for the one. Nothing specific, just something that pops out. He glances at me quickly and I pretend to look at a stupid football video game of some sort. He smile widens slightly, making his eyes soften a fraction, before he looks back down. I breath out a silent sigh. Aleks... Is.... The least I can say attractive. I just want to hug him. Talk to him. Never stop being friend. Run my hands through his hair... No. Stop. This is Aleks. Straight Aleks. Never in a million years Aleks. I put the werd football game down and Aleks skips over to me.

"Got it!" He exclaims, smiling joyfully down at the game he holds. Barbie.

"What the fuck dude..." I say, laughing. He laughs too but digs money out of his pocket.

"Are you seriously buying that?" He nods, his smile still on his face. Making me want to kiss him. GOD DAMN IT JAMES, STOP! Never in a million years. After Aleks pays for the game, we wander through the mall. Suddenly the nobs for lyf song starts and Aleks jumps, swearing. He digs out his phone and stares confused at the screen for a second before answering.

"H-hello?" He says, his voice dripping in sadness and... Anger. Who is he talking to?

"Ha...ha." He laughs sadly.

"No... Eddie. I'm... I'm fine. Great actually.... Yes I'm aware.... No, I'm not. I can't leave. Sorry." He didn't sound very sorry.

"Yeah, yeah. Talk to you later, I guess. Bye." He hangs and sighs.

"What did Eddie want?"

"To tell us we must come visit him and Natalie." He says, rolling his eyes.

"Can we.... Can we just go home. Sorry, James. It's just... I can't deal with this right now. " I nod and we leave, the car ride silent. When we stop neither of us move to get out.

"Don't leave." He says softly.

"Huh? I can't stay in the car forever." I say, looking at him.

"No. Don't leave me. Don't leave the creatures. James. Please." He pleads.

"Aleks, I... I wasn't planning on leaving you." He meets my gaze and this time I don't turn away. Tears roll down his cheeks and he smiles slightly at me before nodding. Neither of us look away. Neither of us leave. I don't even notice leaning forward until I realize he's doing the same. I press my lips to his and wipe the tears away with my thumb. He kisses back, happily. I pull away and smile at him, and he returns it. I rest my forehead against his.

"No, Aleks. I'm not leaving for a very long time."
