A Year In Russia

James POV

Sobbing, I watch him leave, holding the small silver engraved ring close to my chest. I remember his face when I told him. Disgust. Anger. Depression. His blonde hair falling into his face and his blue eyes welling up with tears. And stop.

Third Person POV

Aleks was in Russia because his parents were terribly sick. He was only going to stay for a few weeks, but ended up staying for months and months. James couldn't sleep properly without him. Staying awake for days and days until he passed out from sheer exhaustion. Eddie had a bad cold and was out for a few weeks. It was just the exhausted James and the loving caring Seamus.

It was reaching the second month of Aleks being gone when Seamus kissed him. It was warm. Sweet. And had the slight taste of candy. James loved it almost as much as he did Aleks' kisses. He started to love Seamus. His dark golden hair. His icy blue eyes. He was beautiful. James told Seamus that he and Aleks broke up. But they hadn't. Aleks still loved James. And James still loved Aleks. But also Seamus.

It was a cooly fall day when Aleks got off the plane. He was excited to see everyone! It had been a year. A year! He missed them so much, but mostly missed James. His parents got the treatment they needed and they're okay for now. And he missed his friends. Eddie picked him up and took him to their shared apartment. The guys didn't know he was back. They played some games and went to sleep. He couldn't wait to see James.

Meanwhile James and Seamus were preparing to tell the guys of their recent engagement. They were getting married. The thing James promised Aleks they would do. But Aleks didn't know, and Seamus didn't know, and James thought Aleks wasn't going to come back for a while and that their marriage could be a secret. He knew he wasn't thinking right, but he loved them both. That night James and Aleks lie awake, only some short miles away from each other. Aleks was excited to see James and James was dreading Aleks' return.

In the morning Aleks got up and drove to James' house. And luckily for James, Seamus went to the house earlier that morning because he had to catch up on editing. When James opened the door on his past lovers face, his mind exploded into thoughts he didn't want to think. Aleks threw himself into James' arms. And James kissed him deeply and passionately, thinking only of the problem he had thrown himself into. And now that Aleks is back, realizing how he much he loves the pale Russian. And how Seamus had gotten them into this problem, without really even knowing. This was a problem that James wouldn't be able to fix.

All this caused by a year in Russia.
