Crush x Reader- Coffee Break

Checking the notifications on your phone with a coffee in hand, you were sitting at home and taking a break from studying. With so much going on in life, a break was more than necessary.
Popping onto Snapchat, you checked over your friends to see what they were up to. One person in particular, (C/N), caught your attention. A picture of an open textbook and the message 'So tired from studying! :(' appeared before you.

You smiled, taking a selfie with a bright smile and making sure your coffee in hand showed as well. Quickly adding the caption, 'Take a break! It helps!', you hit the send button.

Almost immediately, a response came back from him.
'Seeing your smile helps, too! Want to face time?'

Seeing his response, you found the face time button for video chatting and waited for him to pick up. As expected, he responded pretty quickly.

"Hey (Y/N)," he greeted, flashing his charming smile that you loved to admire. "How's it going?"
"Pretty good," you answered, holding your phone out a little more. "How about you?"

"Besides tired?" (C/N) asked. "Same as you, I really like talking to you. Not that I don't like talk other people but - "
You giggled, interrupting his sentence as you put your coffee down on the table. "I like talking to you too."
"Ah, that's nice to know," he said with a exaggerated sigh of relief. "I mean if the girl I liked didn't like talking to me, that would be awkward."

He froze, realizing what he had said. A look of shock mixed with embarrassment appeared on his face as his cheeks flushed and he turned to look elsewhere.

You bit your lip, trying to find the right words to say. "You like me? For real?"
His eyes were instantly turned back to and he nodded. "Yeah... Can't deny it when its the truth, right?"
"Right," you agreed. Taking a deep breath, you decided now would be a good time to let him know about your feelings too.

"Well, I like you, too. Do you want to hang out some time? I'd love to spend some time with you?"
(C/N)'s face brightened. "Do you want to now? We can study or not study... I'm up for it, if you are."
You grinned. "Alright. I'll send you the location and I'll see you there, okay?"
"Okay. I'll see you soon!"

The last thing you saw was his smile and you couldn't help but smile yourself. Perhaps taking studying breaks were good things after all.
