Uncle Hakuseki/Third Person  P.O.V.

It had been about two months since (YN) first came to live with Uncle Hakuseki. Over these two months (YN) had become closer to both him and Gaara...When (YN) returned home that first day she got here her uncle was shocked to find that her newfound friend was Gaara...Hakuseki was terrified of this revelation. He worried for (YN)'s safety around the boy... That child was a jinchūriki after all. He was so scared that he almost told her they couldn't be friends but he stopped himself... He couldn't dictate who she could and couldn't be friends with. That was her choice. So he just accepted them as being friends. Although...he still didn't trust the boy that much.

Aside from Gaara, (YN) hadn't made any other friends, and this worried Hakuseki. He knew she was fine with just having Gaara as a friend but this troubled the man. He wanted (YN) to have several friends so that she could grow up around a group of people who cared for her. She had already been through so much. He just wanted her happiness so he decided that today would be the day he encouraged her to go out and make more friends. 

Which is why he now found himself standing outside of (YN)'s door. He had resolved himself to encourage her to go out and socialize.

(YN)'s P.O.V.

You were lying on your bed with a small notebook in hand and several colored pencils lying around you. You were doodling pictures of animals and softly humming to yourself until a light knock sounded on your door.

"Come in." 

The door creaked open to reveal your uncle. He awkwardly stood in the doorway for a few moments before sighing as he slowly walked over to you. 

"(YN) I-I think that you should go to the park today... I heard t-that there are some k-kids going to be there p-playing ninja games."

This caused you to halt in your drawing as you glanced up at your uncle with a small frown.

"But I'm drawing... and the other kids seem kind of mean."

" I-I don't care, you're going." Your uncle said sternly before leaving your room.

Sighing you got up from your bed and went to put your sandals on. Once finished, you quickly ran out of your bedroom and out the front door.

~Time skip brought to you by Uncle Hakuseki 'trying' to be stern~

You weren't really sure why Uncle Hakuseki wanted you to go to the park. He said kids were playing there but you weren't interested in making any more friends. You had Gaara and that was enough for you...but you still did as your Uncle said and begrudgingly went to the park. 

As you reached the park, you saw two kids running around and playing with each other. The kids looked to be around maybe two years older than you. They appeared to be playing some sort of keepaway game with a ball and it seemed that they were about to start a new game. Seeing this as your opportunity to try and make more friends you ran up to the older kids. 

"Hey, can I play with you guys?" You asked with a friendly smile.

The kids looked shocked by your sudden appearance, but quickly regained composure as they all glanced at each other. They seemed to be coming to a silent conclusion.

A girl; who you assumed to be the leader of the group stepped forward and began to speak.

"No, we don't want some weird new kid playing with us who hangs out with that creepy Gaara."

You were a bit hurt by what they said and angered that they called Gaara creepy but you chose to brush off their behavior towards you.

"O-oh okay...I-I see...I'll be going now then. And Gaara's not creepy, he's just different." You said before walking away from the group of kids, deciding that you would look for said boy to play with instead.
