Out Cold

I'm sorry for the really late chapter. I've been really trying to stay on a schedule I've just been struggling a bit with writers block recently

Zabuza's water clones went as soon as they appeared, curtsy of Sasuke destroying them. All that was left of them now were several puddles of water.

"Seems the brat has improved... Looks like you might have a rival Haku." Zabuza commented to the younger male standing beside him.

'So his name's Haku....' You thought while squinting your eyes to get a better look at the male.

'Wait...is he still wearing that tracker mask from before?' You thought noticing the familiar mask obstructing Haku's face.

"Why he's still wearing that mask...It's completely useless now." You stated your thoughts out loud with a frown.

"What a phony, It's not like he's fooling anyone." Sasuke said in response while Kakashi nodded in agreement.

"The mask was all just part of some elaborate scheme of theirs. They've probably done it many times before."

You nodded at this while glancing to Sasuke as he pulled a kunai out of his weapons pouch.

"Whatever. I'm taking this guy out." Sasuke said tightening his grip upon the kunai as Haku began sprinting towards him.

As soon as Haku reached Sasuke the two of them began exchanging blows. Each hit was always blocked or dodged by the other one though.

"Sakura, (YN) protect Tazuna. Sasuke can handle this for the time being." Kakashi said without taking his eyes off of the two fighting ninja.

"Okay..." You mumbled somewhat reluctantly while taking two kunai out of your weapons pouch.

'Why do I have to get stuck watching the bridge builder...' You thought with a frown as you moved to stand beside Sakura.

'I mean I know I'm not as strong as Sasuke but I could still help fight...' You thought somewhat dejectedly as you watched Sasuke block a hit towards his chest.

"You should just back down. We're after the bridge builder not you." Haku calmly stated pushing his own weapon against Sasuke's kunai.

"Save it."

"You're making a mistake. You won't be able to keep up with me." Haku said raising his hand up to begin forming hand signs. Noticing this you quickly jumped to action and threw one of the kunai you were holding towards Haku. Your intended goal being to stop him from completing his jutsu. Your aim was a bit off though so the kunai you originally aimed at his hand ended up flying towards his neck.

'Eh close enough.' You shrugged as Haku was forced to end his jutsu as he jumped out of the way of the oncoming kunai.

Taking advantage of this, Sasuke lunged towards Haku as he swung one of his senbon needle towards you. You weren't completely prepared for the possibility of Haku attacking you though so you kinda just stood there in shock. You quickly snapped out of your stupor though as the needle began closing in on your face.

Instinctively you swung your kunai up and deflected the senbon before jumping away from Tazuna and Sakura. You didn't want them to get hurt because of your involvement in the fight so you quickly distanced yourself from them.

The entire time you did this you kept your eyes on Haku who had put some space between himself and Sasuke. Haku then began to throw more needles at Sasuke as he started running towards him. You didn't dare move any closer to their fight though. You weren't very good at taijutsu and wanted to avoid getting too close for fear getting kicked through the air like last time.
