I was sitting on the opposite end of the couch with my legs in Michael's lap. We'd spent all day together, the time now being around 10 pm.
"So do you mind if I ask you a question?" Michael asked with a serious expression.
"Yeah, go ahead."
"Completely realistic and serious, do you ever think there will be anything between you and Calum? He seems like the kind of guy who would try to pull the moves on you."
Michael gets so self conscious when it comes to the topic of Calum.
"He tries to pull the moves on me, but I promise they will not mean a thing to me, they won't lead to anything." He smiled as he ran his hand up and down my leg. He looked at his phone.
"Ah shit, I have to go. My friend Caleb wanted me to go to a party with him." He grabbed my legs and gently sat them on the floor. He stood up and looked at me. I stood up too. "Today was great. It was nice to be with you all day." Michael grinned and grabbed my hands.
"Yeah it was nice. Definitely something I could get used to." I softly kissed him, told him goodnight, and he was gone. I stood with a stupid smile on my face for a moment. I knocked on Calum's door.
"He's gone now." I leaned my shoulder against the door. He slowly opened it.
"Definitely something I could get used to!" He kicked his foot up behind him and giggled like a girl.
"Shut up." I said with a stern expression. "At least I have a steady relationship." I didn't mean to say my thoughts out loud.
"What was that?" He asked, dramatically cupping his hand around his ear. I might as well stand up for myself.
"At least I have a steady relationship." I said at a normal level.
He stood with an open mouth.
"Are you serious?" He mumbled. "You're really going to say that? At least I have a life!" His voice was getting louder.
"I wouldn't call playing my video games, hanging out with the same two guys, and going to parties and fucking randoms is much of a life!" I yelled back.
"At least I go out and do things! You're here all day!"
"I meet people and build relationships, instead of meeting someone, assuming they're good in bed then taking them to our shared apartment," I made sure to accent the shared part. "and loudly have sex with them!"
"At least I have a personality, unlike you, you're just a bitch." He spat at me.
"Wow Calum, wow. What a great insult. I'm a bitch now, thanks." I replied and put my hands on my hips. Our argument is advancing quickly.
"How long have you even known Michael? A week? You act like you've been dating for a year!" He yelled, changing the subject.
"First of all, no I'm not, and second of all, why does my relationship affect you? Oh wait, it doesn't!"
He shook his head. "I thought you were nice, you really are just a bitch." He quietly said. "I was just wondering about one of my friend's relationship, or whatever you are now." He was yelling again.
"Can we just go back to being roommates, where we act like the other person doesn't even exist? I miss that time. It was much quieter." I responded.
"No, you like it when I flirt with you, you'd miss it too much."
"Another thing, why do you even flirt with me? I never flirt back, I'm like a wall. I wouldn't miss it for a second." I felt the need to grab the words in the air and shove them back into my mouth.
"Fine. I won't even acknowledge your existence anymore. You're nothing to me." He opened his eyes wider, almost realising how sharp his words really were.
I felt tears start to sting the back of my eyes. I opened my mouth the say something, but decided not to. Then I said something I'll always regret,
"You never were anything to me anyways."
YEAH I KNOW THIS CHAPTER IS SHORT BUT WHAAAAT IDK HOW I FEEL ABOUT THIS
