I opened the door to see Michael standing in the doorway with one single rose, matching the red color of his hair. He wore a goofy smile on his face.

"I've missed you so fucking much." His smile dropped to a sexy smirk. I brought my lips to his and snaked my arms around his shoulders. He stepped in to deepen the kiss and placed his hand on the back of my neck and applied slight pressure, like he couldn't get enough of this kiss. After a few seconds I separated for a moment, placed another quick kiss on his smile and brought him inside. He sat on the couch and I sat against the arm of the chair and slung my legs over his lap. He handed me the rose and I stared at it for a moment.

"How have you been?" He asked, eyes focused on the flower.

"Oh you know, work, class, sleep, pretty much. Not interesting at all without you. What about you?"

"Eh just working all the time mostly." There was a short silence. "So I'm visiting my parents this weekend for my dad's birthday. I don't think I'm going to be able to handle being away from you for more than a day again." He flashed me the biggest puppy dog eyes. My heart fluttered at the sight.

"Michael." I pouted. "But we just got to see each other again."

"I know, but it's just a weekend. I promise I'll spend an entire day with you as soon as I get back. We both need it." He smiled. He reached his arm around me and I began to trace his "To The Moon" tattoo. I put my eyes on the rose again.

"This is super cute." I twirled it in my fingers. "Why did you bring it to me?" I looked into his pale green, almost silver, eyes.

"Because I haven't seen you in person in so long and I knew you would think it's cute." He shrugged.

"You're so precious." I kissed his cheek.

"Precious? What am I, a kitten?" He teased.

"Yes actually." I giggled.

"I'm not a kitten. I'm a bad ass." He playfully shoved me.

"Oh you are?" I sat up and pushed him back. He pushed my back against the couch. He climbed on top of me and I attempted to flip over on top of him, laughing the entire time. I maintained the top position a few times, but he would just flip me back over. He finally grabbed my wrists and secured them above my head. I kept laughing at him.

"Shut up." He ordered and brought his face closer to mine. I immediately silenced. He was being so serious compared to our wrestling a moment ago. I had to admit, it was extremely attractive. He placed his lips on mine over and over again, hungrily. "Don't move your hands." He growled. He started to take off his shirt before I spoke up.

"Calum is here." I whispered and nodded towards his wide open door. He stood up and walked over to his door.

"Hey you don't mind if me and Amber make out on the couch do you?" Something had gotten into him. He's never like this. I could hear Calum laugh and reply with "Nah mate." Michael returned to me.

"It's a good thing he didn't care because his opinion didn't actually matter. It was more of a warning, really." He raised his eyebrows at me. "Stand up babe." I followed. He laid down in my spot. "You take charge." He grinned like a fool. I bit my lip and brought my leg over his hips to straddle him. He looked up at me with eyes full of lust. I leaned down and hover my lips above his, teasingly. He finally leaned forward until our mouths collided. Over and over again until we felt it was enough. I detached his lips from mine and sat up.

"Am I still a kitten?" He questioned.

"A kitten who can kiss really well."

"That's the weirdest phrase I've ever heard." He laughed. "God I've missed you so much." He whispered as his breath quivered in his throat. I stared at his delicate features, gentle, soft lips, caring eyes, and adorable nose. I couldn't help but feel safe when we were together. I'd never felt this way about anyone before. I needed him to stay in my life. I never realized how much I missed him until this very moment. His smile is my guiding light and I feel like I need to do everything in my power to protect it. I leaned back down and placed my elbows on the arm of the couch where he propped his head.

"Michael. I think I love you." I breathed. His eyes got wide.

"I think I love you too." He spoke and attached our lips once again. This time less desperate and hungry and more passionate and sincere. A feeling I never wanted to leave. I could kiss his lips for hours upon hours and would still get a floating feeling in my heart that could never be copied. My brain raced with a million thoughts but all of them traced back to this boy. This boy making my heart beat faster and slower at the same time. I couldn't let this one go for anything. I can't. I adjusted myself until I was laying half on top of him, half on the couch. I moved my head to his chest where I could hear his heart race. It felt amazing to know he felt the exact same way. He placed a gentle kiss on the crown of my head and I began to feel drowsy.

The couch was empty and smelled of his cologne when I awoke. I rubbed the couch where he laid the night before and looked at my phone to see Michael had texted me.

"Sorry babe, I got called in to work. I would have given anything in the world to spend the entire day with you, but I have to make up the hours I'll be gone this weekend. last night was so amazing. i cant stop smiling at the fact that im in love with you"

I put the phone down and went into Calum's room. I knew he wasn't awake but I needed to tell him the news. I pushed his shoulder.

"Calum." I repeated until a tiny groan escaped from his mouth and he stretched a bit.

"What the hell?" His groggy voice was almost impossible to comprehend. He sighed and yawned.

"I told Michael I loved him last night." He immediately woke up more.

"Do you love him?" He raised his eyebrows.

"I have no idea. Do I love him?" I deeply exhaled.

"I'd say probably not." He shrugged. "Since we're still sleeping together I wouldn't call you completely head over heels."

"Calum, I'm talking about love, not sex. Those two aren't the same for me."

"Oh, I'd say they are. Especially for you. I can tell. You don't look at him any different than you look at me. I'm definitely not saying you love me, I'm just saying I don't know if you know what love is. There's a difference between lust and love. They can be easily confused in the heat of the moment." He gently stroked my arm with his fingertips. Small goosebumps formed under his touch so I pulled my arm away before he could notice.

"So do I lust after you? I'm confused."

"I'm not smart, Amber. I've just been in your position."

calum slowly hinting that he thinks they're in love what a cute little idea
