We walked hand in hand down to the shore of the beach, the only lights were distant street lights and the bright, white moon shining and illuminating the water.

"It's so beautiful." I whispered and leaned my head on Michael's arm.

"Now aren't you glad I convinced you to come later?" He kissed the crown of my head and laid an old blanket I brought down on the ground. We silently laid down. I turned my body so I had one arm across his stomach and one underneath my head. My right leg wrapped around his, like we were made to fit together perfectly.

We sat quiet for a while, just enjoying each other's company and taking in the scent of the water and the sound of the lapping waves. Michael asked me a question, and somehow we got on the topic of our lives, and right there on that beach, I spilled my entire life story to him. He shared his too, bringing us closer to him than I am with anyone. He looked down at me with his hands behind his head.

"You're beautiful." He mumbled.

"Thanks." I whispered. Silence overtook us once again. Michael pulled his phone out of his pocket and started touching the screen over and over again.

"If I asked you to dance with me, would you?" He nodded towards his phone.

"Depends on what the song is." He touched play and the gentle piano beginning of "Is There Somebody Who Can Watch You" by The 1975 flowed into my ears. I took in a short breath. "This is perfect." I stood up and help Michael up too. He wrapped his hands around my waist and I lazily draped my arms around his neck. I positioned my head into his chest and he put his head on my shoulder. We gently swayed back and forth as a few people walked by, probably thinking we were lunatics. But to both of us, the everyone in the universe could have walked by and we would still be the only objects in each other's worlds. I listened in to his steady heartbeat, feeling extreme protection and comfort. Michael started to gently hum along, making his chest slightly vibrate and his mouth tickle my collar bone. He trailed sloppy kisses up the side of my neck to my lips, where we moulded together perfectly, kissing as slow as the song. He gently took my bottom lip

between his teeth and moved his hands up my waist. He separated the kiss and continued lazily moving to the song.

"This is perfect, Michael." I gently pecked his lips.

"You're perfect." He mumbled.

"This is the cheesiest thing I've ever done. I feel like I'm in a romantic movie." I giggled.

"I know, but you deserve it." We continued swayed again until the end of the song. He spun me around a bit then brought me back into a firm hold with his arms completely around me. "Amber." He breathed out. I lifted my head and hummed in response. He freed me and put his hands behind his back. He leaned in. "Will you be my girlfriend?" He had a cheesy smile.

"Of course Michael." I pulled him closer to me and passionately kissed him. He stepped in and deepened the kiss. I could kiss him for days and never get sick of the taste of his soft pink lips. I started to bend down, still keeping our contact. We ended up laying on the small blanket. Michael took charge and supported himself above me. He placed short kisses on my collar bones, causing quiet moans to escape.

"I'm so happy to finally call you mine." He pecked me again. "You're finally mine." I could feel his small smile.

"I'm yours." I whispered as I placed my finger on his chin and pulled his view up. "Let's go home, okay?" He wore a small grin as he stood up and complied.

We stopped at his place and replaced Michael with Alexa in the passenger seat. The door slammed shut.

"How was it? Give me details." She bounced in her seat. "Are you dating?"

"Yes we're dating." I fought back a huge smile. She squealed.

"Did you-" She raised her eyebrows.

"No we didn't. We just kinda made out, a little."

"How do you make out a little?" She laughed.

"You know what I mean!" I playfully slapped her arm. I filled her in on the entire night's activities and before either of us knew, I was home. I waved her a good bye and prepared myself for an awkward encounter. I slowly crept inside. Calum was sat on the couch with a beer to his lips and the tv on. He turned around when the door clicked shut.

"Hey." He flipped back around.

"Hi." I walked to him and sat down. I slipped my shoes off and relaxed.

"How'd it go?" He asked emotionless, clearly not actually interested.

"We're a couple now." I sighed.

"That's good, I guess." I didn't respond for a while.

"Calum?" He took another short drink and looked my way. He raised his eyebrows as his lips were still connected to the bottle. "Are we gonna pretend that never happened?" He sighed.

"Do you want to?" He sincerely asked.

"No."
