We walked towards the huge house with music blaring. I stopped Calum on the front walkway.
"Calum." I straightened my arm in front of my chest, blocking him.
"Hmm?" He hummed and turned his head towards me.
"Remember what we talked about. I don't want to be here alone." I stuck my pinky out. He sighed, let his head fall back and interlocked our pinkies. We shook on it and walked in. It looked pretty much like the Hollywood movies. Dim lighting, sweating people as close as clothes would allow, red solo cups everywhere, and music loud enough for the entire neighborhood to hear. We were immediately handed drinks.
"Don't drink that, who knows what's in it." Calum grabbed the cup out of my hand as quickly as it was put there. He sat them on a small end table next to the door. "Let's go find Luke and Ash." He yelled, but still barely audible over the music. I latched on to the back of his shirt and followed his small footsteps as we broke through the crowd.
"Are parties usually this crowded?" I leaned into the back of his neck and spoke at regular volume.
"No, this is pretty packed. I heard this was going to be smaller." We kept walking. We met Luke and Ashton, who had loads of girls attracted to their side. Luke walked to Calum, whispered something in his ear. Calum shook his head no, and turned towards me.
"What do you want to drink?" He asked with a perky smile.
"Get me what your getting. Just not straight beer." I attempted to speak over the music.
"How about some Jell-O shots?" He yelled. I shrugged and he left. I stood awkwardly in my place.
"Hey Amber!" I turned around to see Luke flirtatiously biting his lip and nodding his head for me to come to him. I hesitantly edged towards him. He nodded again. "Come here." I leaned my head to him so I could hear. "You look pretty lost you alright?" I could smell the alcohol on his breath, but it was nice to know he cared.
"Yeah I'm fine. This is all just weird for me." I shrugged.
"Just be careful, Calum's never brought a girl to a party and not tried to sleep with her."
"That won't happen." I abruptly said.
"Just be careful." I'm not sure why Luke is telling me this, we've never talked before. I stood and waited for a while before turning back around to see Calum with a beer and two green Jell-O shots. I grabbed them one at a time and slid them in my mouth.
"These are good. I like these." I quickly nodded as Calum started sipping his drink.
"You might wanna slow down a bit. Those are stronger than you would think." He pointed out.
"Oh, alright." We stood quietly as the music blared and people moved around us. "So what do you usually do at these things?"
"Well, I usually go for a hot girl and go as far as we can while still in public, and if she's interested-"
"No Calum." I firmly stated.
"Well I don't know what you want from me." He let out a short laugh which left a smile on his face. He put his hand in his pocket and rocked on his heels. "So..."
"What?" I smiled.
"I'm not really sure what to do with you."
"What do you mean 'do with me'?" I laughed.
"I'm not sure how to party with you." He bit his lip.
"Well you know I have no clue." I looked around awkwardly. Calum sipped his drink.
"Be right back." He stepped towards Ashton and whispered in his ear. Ashton looked me up and down while Calum's jaw moved up and down. He nodded and Calum walked back to me. "You wanna ditch?" He pointed towards the door.
"We just got here, but whatever you want to do." I mumbled and shrugged.
"Do you want to stay?" He stepped closer to me, his face only an inch away from mine.
"Where will we go?" I had the horrible urge to grab his face and kiss him for some reason, it just washed over my body like a wave. I couldn't deny that I found Calum attractive, because I did. The way his hair was perfectly curved at the end, the way he always had a smile lingering on his lips, the way he wore tight jeans and band tees almost every day just gave him this sexy quality. Of course, I'm way more attracted to Michael. With him, it's just a loving relationship. With Calum, it's just the pure physical attraction.
"Anywhere you want." His sensual words snapped me out of the thoughts that were floating in my head. I grabbed his wrist and waved goodbye to Luke. He shook his head disappointingly. I quickly sped over to him.
"I'm not sleeping with him, we're just leaving." I whisper-yelled directly into his ear.
"Whatever you say. Just use protection." He laughed while I shoved his shoulder then continued out with Calum.
"We lasted like 3 minutes in there?" His signature smile tugging his lips.
"We could have stayed longer." I stated outright.
"No, I want to be alone with you." He slightly strung the words together, almost slurring. He gently wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Um, Calum? Are you okay?" I backed off a little.
"Peachy." He smiled really big with his eyes closed.
"How much did you drink before you gave me my Jell-O shots, Calum? You're acting pretty lightheaded."
"Just some shots and stuff...I'm okay." He was definitely slurring a little. "Can you do me a favor?" Now that he mentioned the shots, I definitely smelled the alcohol on his breath.
"What do you need?" He hesitated before continuing.
"I need you," He nodded his head towards me. "to kiss me."
"No Calum. You're drunk and I have someone."
"Come on, just once." He stuck out his bottom lip in a pout.
"No Calum." I pushed his hands off me. "We should go home." I crossed my arms.
"Sorry for such a mood killer." He tossed his hands up in defeat and started walking towards his car. He quickly spun around, almost making me crash into him. "Can I have a kiss on the cheek then?"
"Calum why do you want me to kiss you so bad?"
"I just want you to kiss me like you do Michael. I wanna feel how he feels." His eyes softened.
"Calum I'm sorry. I can't." His words made my heart hurt, just the way he said them.
"Okay." He had an obedient tone as he turned and trudged toward the car. "Are you staying at home with me or are you ditching me for him?" He asked me as I walked in front of the car to the driver's side.
"I'm going to stay with you Calum." I spoke and we both got in. I had a feeling Calum was at the point where he was so drunk he would tell secrets, and there's no way I could miss out.
NOT SURE HOW I FEEL ABOUT IT BUT THEN AGAIN WHEN DO I EVER
