"Hey you wanna see that one new scary movie Annabelle?" Calum asked me while looking at his laptop. It was about 9 pm, prime scary movie time for me.

"If that's the one with the doll, hell no." I stated. Calum giggled at my serious nature.

"It's not that bad. It's just a movie, so what?"

"I've had a fear of dolls and dummies for longer than I can even remember, ok? I'm not seeing that movie." He laughed again. "Why don't we just find a scary movie on tv or something?"

"I want to see something new. Please? I want to see it, but not by myself." We looked at each other for a second.

"Go see it with Luke or Ashton or something." I shrugged. I wasn't going to budge until he started to pout. He stuck his bottom lip out slightly and pulled the chocolate, deep brown puppy dog eyes. "Calum that's not fair. Don't make that face."

"I only use it on special occasions. I've heard the movie is really scary." He raised his eyebrows and stood up. He put shoes on and got his coat. "Are we going or not?" He stood by the door like an excited puppy.

I dramatically sighed. "I guess I'll go if it will shut you up." I put on shoes and got up. "I want you to be aware that I will be scared out of my mind the whole time and won't see most of the movie because I'll have my hands over my eyes." He shrugged and nodded towards the door.

"Let's go the previews start in 20 minutes!" He hopped impatiently.

"What were you going to do if I said no?" I questioned the immediate timing.

"Well there's one more super late showing tonight and then more tomorrow, so I would have you cracked by then." He put a cocky smirk on his face and opened the door. I followed him as we went down to the car and onto the movies.

We bought our tickets and I started to plan my funeral, knowing this movie would scare me to death.

"Calum I'm so scared. I don't want to see it." I told him as we sat in our seats.

"Little late for that now, you think?"

I sunk down in my seat.

"It's fine, alright? I'm right here and it's just a movie. 'Just a movie' keep telling yourself that." He rubbed my shoulder. He suddenly seemed actually concerned instead of the joking manner he had been using this whole time. The previews came to an end and the lights immediately dimmed. I put my feet on the seat in front of me and sunk down even more. Calum put his hand on my thigh. I looked over at him and he was smiling a innocent, goofy smile. He knew me too well and that relieved some of my stress.

The end credits started rolling and I was frozen in fear in my seat. Calum looked over at me, obviously adrenaline pumping from how terrifying it was. He leaned forward in his seat.

"Holy shit! That was so good." He said excitingly.

"Calum I shouldn't have watched that." I looked over at him. I was almost in tears because of how scared I really was.

"Woah, Amber, are you gonna cry?" He was half laughing, half concerned and leaned closer to my face. "It's okay, it's just a movie." He whispered.

"I just wanna get out of here." I slowly stood up. Calum followed and silently walked to the car and went home.

I went straight into my room and changed into pajamas and got into bed. I didn't feel like talking about the movie. I was probably overreacting, but it truly was terrifying. I wanted to call Michael and have him come over and just sleep with me for security, but he's most likely asleep already. But, I thought why not try. I called him and waited to hear his groggy, sleepy voice to pick up. But, it didn't. No one picked up. His voicemail came on and I told him that it wasn't important but to call me back when he woke up.

After a few hours I was still in bed, bored. I walked to see if Calum was still awake. I assumed he was because his living room light was off, but his bedroom light was on. I shuffled in. His bare back was facing me and a blanket was thrown over his bottom half.

"Calum?" I squeaked out. "Are you awake?"

He turned around. "Yeah. I thought you were asleep?"

"No. I can't sleep." I laughed at myself. "I sound 5 but it's true." He smiled.

"Well what did you come in here for?" He stood up.

"Not sure." I shrugged. "Kinda miss Michael." I stepped towards him. We stepped towards each other again.

"What do you mean by that?" He had a cheeky grin.

"Are you gonna make me spell it out?" I raised my eyebrows. I walked over to him and pushed him on the bed. "I'm going with our agreement." I smirked.

"Why do we always do this in my bed?" Calum laughed with his hand behind my head as we laid on our backs.

"I don't know. It's warm and smells like you."

"Well yours is warm and smells like you." He shrugged.

"If Michael ever came over and could smell anything other than my perfume on my bed he'd flip." I looked at him. He looked down at me.

"I guess you have a point." My eyes lazily adventured his face, from his dark eyebrows down to his two little cheek freckles, but settling on his swollen pink lips. My gaze flicked up to his eyes and I connected my lips with his. I smiled into the kiss. We moved in slowly in synchronization before he pulled his head back. "Unless you want to go for round two, I thought there wasn't any kissing." He breathed. His slight lisp came out every time he said kiss and it made me smile. My mind raced for a moment as I tried to think of a reason why I would want to kiss him other than why I actually did.

"I want to come up with a reason why I did it but the real reason is because your lips are so swollen and it's hot." I bit my lip, hoping to distract him.

"Well it's your fault." He laughed and placed his lips on mine once again. He brought my hips closer to him and I situated myself to straddle him once more. Our lips still connected and flowing. I didn't plan on stopping until I heard my phone start ringing. I jumped off and retrieved it to see Michael's name.

"Hey." I smiled.

"Hey babe. What was up? I just woke up a little bit ago and can't get back to sleep." His voice was groggy and deep.

"Well I went and saw a scary movie with Calum and it really freaked me out. I just wanted to talk. I was even thinking you could have came over and slept but..."

"I could still come over. I'm not doing anything now and you're still up. I haven't seen you in so long it feels like we're as close as strangers." There was a silence.

"Yeah babe come on over if you want. I miss you and we can talk." We finished a short conversation and I ran into Calum's room. I started to put my clothes back on. "That was Michael." I dropped my shirt over my shoulders. "He's coming over and spending the night." I pulled my pants on.

"Oh?" He had his head propped on his hand.

"Yeah. I miss him." I realized that I was waiting on my boyfriend to get here while getting redressed from someone else taking my clothes off.

well this is an awkward ending but yeah.

this was mostly a filler but it also shows how amber is feeling less guilty about doing things with calum and how they're slowly becoming fluffy and cute
