I look around, I take it all in,
The sights, the sounds,
I inhale each breath and savor it,
I look up at the sky,
In all it's mysterious splendor,
And wander away from the ground,
Momentarily weightless,
Lifting my soul into the clouds,
My body left behind me,
And I continue,
Guided by some invisible hand,
Some ancient machine,
Driven by salvation,
Drawing the righteous,
All with good hearts,
To it,
It draws all who spread good,
And thwart evilness,
And casts away the damned with an iron fist,
There the clockwork continues, pushing the world forward,
Driving us further and further into the future,
That clockwork is the very essence of time,
It neither speeds up nor does it ever slow down,
And it never stops,
Time waits for no man,
We are driven forward by it,
And in time,
I hope we come to appreciate and respect it.................
