Once Upon A Midnight

I've witnessed beauty in its many forms. I've seen terror, death, and destruction in their worst uniforms. The one thing that amazes me is to see the change of day. Midnight is this change. It is the epicenter of the continuation of our lives. It's really a spectacular thing to witness and observe just how simple, yet awesome it truly is. For me, the second midnight changes from one day to another means that I have seen a new day arrive. It's like a sunrise, most people don't get to see it and really think about it. To them, they see the sun while it's mostly risen already. I've sat for hours and watched the planet spring to life, creeping slowly from darkness as the fingers of light sneak their way along the Earth's surface. I might just be a sleepless weirdo, or even a mindless, drooling troll, but I really appreciate that the world is full of amazing things. And people. Without you guys, people as privileged as I am wouldn't exist. We'd be useless, hopeless, talentless bums. It's not how well a writer writes. It's how they reach out to their audience and convey emotion, and how well a writer can captivate them. And so, I leave you once more, waiting impatiently for yet another published chapter in this rather lengthy collection of short stories, always looking ahead for more. That's why I love you, dear readers. Because you give me the motivation to keep going.
