Avant-garde. Experimental. Is this what it means to be edgy? Well, I don't really put in the thought to consider the meaning of what edgy truly is. In modern culture, edgy is usually defined as hardcore in a sense; people that are edgy say shit that nobody else says, does the things that make most uncomfortable, and as such, they fit in with the experimental element. But, as many know, being edgy isn't always a good thing, especially where traditionalists are concerned, and there are many cons to being edgy. First off, being edgy doesn't appeal to a large majority for people, and quite honestly, not a lot of people enjoy what is considered edgy or dark, or black comedy or things of that nature. What is traditional and "acceptable" is usually what appeals to most, basically because experiencing new things, or experimental things, is often risky, or seems risky to go through with. Why? Because, when most people try new things, or experience something new, there is always hesitancy. Always the question of enjoyment, of relevancy, always the question of appeal. There's always a grain of salt to be taken with new sensations, and edgy things are no different. In the end, we all choose our means of entertainment, our own sources of amusement, and we ourselves must decide if what we are pursuing is worth our time, worth our attention, and be the judges of if it appeals to us. Unlike Ajit Pai, who repealed net neutrality. In his mind, everyone is the same person. Obsessed with memes, cat videos, and taking worthless pictures of food and pets (although in Asia, you can do both at once ;), and as such has created a clone-like mentality, that we are all the same type of person, and thus, have no diversity in thoughts, actions, or choices of entertainment. In short, fuck that bitch. And be edgy and/or unique in how you experience life and entertainment.
