Police Station

New York was three times the size I thought it would be. The amount of cars on the road were beyond any amount of that in Atlanta. I can't imagine what it was like trying to leave this place during the turn of everything. I guess we got lucky at the beginning. Trapped in a goddamn bus.

"Looks like it's going to rain soon" Ellie said

It wasn't that long after the last rain shower. Guess someone up their is crying.

"If it does then we will just go into a clear building, sleep in the cars if we have to" I said

"That won't happen" Ellie said

Nate has been quiet much of the morning. He hasn't said anything but he has gave me a smile every time we made eye contact.

I slowed down a little bit so I could stand beside him.

"Somethin wrong?" I asked

"I'm fine.."

"That's not true, your the one that talks the most out of me and her"

"Shut up" he smiled

"There we go, conversation"

He sighed "I'm scared"

"We all are"

"Not like that" he said "I'm afraid that this whole immunity crap isn't really what they think it is and that we came all this way for nothing"

We stopped in unison. We turned slightly towards each other.

"We won't know until we get their, and if it isn't true then we will go home" I assured

He smiled and nodded. The best thing I can do right now.

"Hey lovers, let's keep going, police station is just a mile out" she said

"What a beautiful personality" I said

"Yours is no better, your mean" Nate said

"I'm not" I assured "unless, I don't like you"

"So your saying you like me" he said

He smiled at me. I couldn't keep a straight face on.

We carried on small conversation...

-Police Station-

The outer walls of the building were mainly windows. A couple were broken and others had a A/C unit sitting in them.

"So where is this?" I asked Ellie while we ducked behind a car

"Ok so that quarantine zone was near Asheville when we were still in Georgia, we took interstate 95 to get here and we came in at manhattan, this is the midtown precinct, were close to Rockefeller"

"So after this, we go their" Nate said

"Let's do this first"

We went around the car

"We will.."

A loud snapping noise came from the station and something hit the ground beside my feet.
