"Zoe, are you home?" Kelly walked into the apartment fumbling with his keys as he dropped his bag and headed to the kitchen where Zoe sat whilst Jamie and Louie finished their food.

"yeah, yeah I'm here" Zoe said nonchalantly as she headed towards the breakfast bar where she nursed the whiskey she just poured.

"Hey kiddos, you both been good for your Aunt Katie today?" Severide asked Jamie, setting his gym bag down before ruffling his nephew's hair then giving Louie a high five.

"Yeah we had fun. Aunt Katie took me to see the boatyard and we went to Alno's for ice cream too." Jamie eat another mouthful.

"Sounds like you had fun kiddo...How was work? I was thinking about heading to Molly's with Matt if you wanna join me? Gabby's working so Katie offered to babysit the boys" He asked his back to Zoe as he grabbed a tumbler to pour himself a whiskey. He turned to face his younger sibling when she didn't reply her eyes were bloodshot and were red rimmed full of tears. "What's wrong? Did something happen?" He quickly stopped what he was doing and sat next to his sister placing his heavy hand on her bony shoulders.

"No, I'm okay. I just have something to tell you" Zoe practically whispered taking one of Kelly's strong hands in her own.

"Jamie, Louie eat your food, uncle Matt will be back in a minute. Let me just talk to your mom for a second"

Zoe slowly began to relay what happened on the roof as she shot the sniper that she'd kept untouched for nearly 4 years. She explained the emotions that tore her world apart for the second time. Zoe began to tell Kelly what happened with Jay after he began to ask questions about the Cannavan name.

Kelly listened intently as he watched his sister battle through the whirlwind of emotions she had experienced throughout the day.

"Look I know you're mad but I had my reasons-" Zoe started

"I'm not mad Zo, I'm just-just shocked" he ran his free hand across his face as if he hoped to find an emotion, he sighed "You didn't have to raise him on your own" he said slightly disappointed.

"Not with Andy's death on top of that. I am sorry Kelly, really I am" Zoe cried Kelly watched as he saw his sister brake.

"Severide?" Matt called as he walked into the apartment along with Gabby. "Hey boys, you both eating your food nicely?"

"Well done kiddos, now why don't you go play before story time. It's Uncle Kelly's turn to put you to bed" Zoe said wiping her tears.

"You're coming with us to Molly's, and I'm not taking no for an answer." Matt smiled leaving Zoe to go and get ready to go out. "I've called Katie, she's on her way"

"What happens now?" Matt asked Zoe as they sat behind the breakfast bar as Kelly put the two little ones to bed.

"At first I wasn't going to stay, but I think staying here is just what me and Jamie need. We obviously can't stay with you and Kelly forever as much as I'd love to. So I want to find a nice place which is where I'm going to need by best friend" Zoe fluttered her eyelids as she looked to her best friend with a hopeful smile

"I'll look at the latest listings and call around I'll find you somewhere"

"Thanks Matty" Zoe climbed across the table and hugged Matt enthusiastically.

The two had small conversations, mainly about Jamie and then about Louie. Zoe had purposely avoided any topic about herself and quickly changed it or dismissed it by 'going to check on Jamie'. Kelly had gone to get himself ready to head out.
