Ivy's POV

Present.

I spared a quick glance at the clock ticking in front of the whole class as I scribbled words for the answer to the final question.

This is it.

My final paper ever.

After all these years, I'm finally done.

"Time's up" the professor called

I sighed with a smile as I closed my paper.

I could hear some 'oh no's' and 'phew's'.

I packed my stationery in my bag and got up to leave

"See you all at graduation" the professor called as we all exited the hall.

I smiled once I got out of the hall and got out my phone.

"Ivy" someone called

I turned round to see my BFF - Luke

"Hey you!" I said as I was pulled into his embrace

"How was finals?" He asked

"Great. I'm just so happy this is all over" I said

"Ya, me too" he said "Soo...?" He smirked

I raised my brow

I knew that look.

"Party tonight?" He asks still smirking

"Oh no. Not again" I pleaded

"Oh c'mon" he had his puppy dog face on "It's gonna be fun"

"Last time you said that, I ended up wasted" I complained "So, go look for Jess and let her to be your partner for tonight cause I'm not going"

"C'mon Ivy, it's the last party ever" he said

"No" I said, my mind already made up

"You're such a party pooper" he said

I stuck my tongue at him then he laughed

"Okay. Jess it is" he sighed "I'll see around"

"Bye" I called as he left, giving my attention to my phone

I dialled her number

"Hey honey" mum said

"Hi mum, I just finished my final paper" I said

"Oh My God, how was it?" She was excited

"Good" I said "Can't wait to take over dad's publishing company"

"Hmm-Uhm" she pulled

Weird.

"Mum?" I called "What's wrong?"

"Nothing" she said a little bit too quickly

She was hiding something.

But I'm not gonna push, for now.

"Uh-Ok" I said "I'll see you soon"

"You coming home today?" She asked

"Yea" I said "Graduation is a week away. I'm not gonna be doing anything here. So I thought dad could show me the ropes of handling the company"

"Uhh...are you sure you wanna come today?" She asked

Uhh, something was definitely wrong.

"You know" she continued "You have to pack up and bring your things home. You'd get tired and might not be able to drive home"

Okay, she had a point.
