Ivy's POV
I drove home the following day after spending the night at my grandparents'. I turned up the volume of the radio and got lost in it as I sang along.
'It is over. Indungently sober. How did I get here...'
It was definitely over for me, for the time being.
I spotted McDonald's in front. I traficated and turned into the parking lot. I took my phone and my wallet. Got out of the car and locked it. I walked into the McDonald's and was welcomed in by the smiling door man.
I smiled back at him before I went to order and grabbed a seat that was secluded from the rest.
I placed my wallet and my phone on the table and just let my mind wander as I stared at nothing in particular outside the glass wall.
I was brought out of my reverie when my order came.
"Here you go" the sweet female waitress said
"Thanks" I smiled back at her
I began eating after she left. It was pure bliss as I bit into the burger. Half way through my food, my phone rang. I wiped my hand and my lips as I checked the caller ID.
Luke.
A video call.
I picked it up.
"Hey Luke" I said
"Hey what's...what happened?" He asked "Are you at McDonald's?"
"Yea" I said popping some fries into my mouth
He sighed
"What happened, Ivy?" He asked"I didn't get it" I told him
He was quiet form a while
"You seem okay about that" he said"Well, asides the fact that someone told me to be handle it like the strong girl that I am..."
"That would be me" he smiled
"...I have to truly earn it" I smiled
"I also said that" he smiled
"Yes you did" I smiled "You wouldn't believe something though"
"What?"
"Dave is C.E.O." I said
His smiled fell
"What!? Douche!"I laughed at that
"What happened to hot?""Well that was before he stole my best friend's title" he said
"Well that's just the good part" I said, popping some more fries into my mouth "Wait till you hear the bad part"
He raised his brow
"There's a bad part?" He asked "Dave being C.E.O. is bad enough for you to handle and there's a bad part"I just shrugged munching the fries
"Well...?!" Luke said
"Dad wants me to get married to him" I said
"Shut the f**k up" he said "No f**king way. What's wrong with your dad. I though he always wanted what's best for you"
I scoffed
"I thought so too" I said painfully "Mum just stood there saying nothing. It's like they want to ruin my life...Oh Wait, they alredy have" I sighed"Looks like you're handling it better than me" he said
"Oh believe me, I went mad when he told me" I said "Grams just has a way of making me feel better. You should have seen me yesterday. I was...a mess" I said
