Dave's POV

What the f**k!

It's been days since what happened between Ivy and I, or should I say what almost happened.

That woman is gonna be the death of me.

I had f**king frozen balls. I thought I'd die of wanting her. She's all I could think about since then and just the thought of that morning gives me blue balls.

She's been weirdly civil with me. No arguements. I wonder what's wrong.

We've been talking but we've been on safe ground. Any time I try to bring up the past, she shuts me out or changes topic or finds something else to do. She doesn't want to hear it.

I wondered why?

She was close but yet soo far.

A week on this island, alone with Ivy. It's pure torture.

She was at arms length, yet I couldn't reach for her. Oh what I'd do to her if she'd let me.

Shit!

Not again.

I looked down at me.

"Wanna take a walk?" Ivy asked out of the blues

She was on the sofa  next to me with nothing to do.

"Now?" I asked "Looks like there's a storm coming"

"Fine" she said getting up "I'll just go myself" she went to the door

"Wait!" I called after her, getting up

She smiled at me and kept walking. I caught up with her when we left the house. It was twilight. The weather app on my phone predicted a storm. But the cool dry weather was making it hard to believe there would be a storm.

I looked at Ivy who wore my shirt and bum shorts. Her hair was in a ponytail. I loved her hair down. It made her look more beautiful.

If that was even possible.

Ah God!

Why was all this a mess.

Just a simple explanation and everything would be normal but she had to shut me up.

Few minutes later, we were still walking with an unknown destination. The clouds were darker and the breeze had picked up. Thunder could be heard in the distant.

She looked at me and caught me staring at her.
"What?" She asked

I stopped walking and stared at her. She stopped and faced me.

"Dave, what's the matter?" She asked

It was now or never.

I inhaled.
"Ivy...Leslie's my cousin" I blurted out. Imdidnt want to sugar coat anything cause she's been avoiding the topic of our past.

She looked shocked and surprised. Then confusion shown on her face.

"Your...you're sleeping with your cousin?" She asked disgustingly

"Oh shit! No! Never!" I said "Why would you think that Lez and I are...?"

"You were always together in school and...and I thought you were together together" she said

"Her parents had just died and she didn't have anyine to live with except us" I explained "I always drove us to school."

She stared at me, her eyes had gone wide.
"Her-her parents died?" She asked painfully

"Yes" I told her

"And I was soo mean to her" she said

Wait. What!

"I was suppose to be there for her and I-I accused her of something that wasn't even there. Something that wasn't true. Oh God!" She head fell "I'm such a horrible person..."

I heard rumblings and felt the drops of rain on me. The breeze was crazy.
"Ivy. We need to get back" I told her

She looked at me confused. Not even aware of the weather.

It started raining cats and dogs.

A storm it is.

"We can't get back in time" I shouted in order for her to hear me.

She looked fully aware of the weather now.

She looked around and pointed at something in a safe distance.

"There!" She shouted

I saw what looked like a cabin.

It would work...for now.

"Lets go" I shouted as we began racing in the storm to get to the cabin.

We finally reached the cabin and entered it, the door was unlocked. The darkness engulfed us as we stepped into the cabin.

"Hold on" I said getting my phone out. I turned the flash on, shutting the door

God!

It was freezing.

"Lets see if we can find some candles" I said looking for whatever looked like a kitchen.

The storm would have cut the power supply.

Ivy was right behind me.

We searched the kitchen for candles and finally found a lot in the top cupboard.

We got some matches and lit them all, placing them in every corner of the room. I found and fire place and lit it too.

That'll keep us warm.

We were still soaking wet.

Ivy sat in front of the fire to keep warm.

"I'll have a look around" I said going with my phone and a lit candle

I found a bedroom and a bathroom. A very modernized one for that matter. The heater was probably on before we arrived cause there was hot water running.

I turned the faucet on and ran a warm bath.

I set the candle down at a corner and for more candles to ground the bedroom, the bathroom and the hallway leading to it. The whole cabin was lit with candles. I went back to the living room.

"Hey" I stood near her.

She looked up at me

"I ran a bath for you" I said "You need to get out of those wet clothes"

"What about you?" She asked

"I'll go in after you" I assured her

She got up slowly
"Okay"

I led her to the room and handed her a towel.
"Thanks"

"I'll see if I can find something you can wear" I said

She nodded and went into the bathroom. I went to the wardrobes in the bed to search for something, anything we could both wear after the bath. But there were no clothes, only thin materials.

I sighed.

Better than nothing.

I placed it on the bed and was about leaving when I caught sight of her through the slighly open door.

Her hair was in a bun on top of her head as she laid back peacefully in the tub.

A smile crept to my lips before I left her alone and went to the living room.

We'll have the talk when she's ready.
