Dave's POV
"...that's what I propose" I finished
"That is outrageous!" He snapped
"Mr. Marcos, your company has gone bankrupt and you expect me to invest in it. Would you if places were switched?" I asked "So I'm giving you the best deal you can get by making you vice president when I buy the company"
He was soo furious. His breathing was filled with rage.
"Or you could leave my office and keep searching for an investor, one I'm sure you'll never get" I glanced at my watch "I have a meeting now. I'll see you some other time, or not. The offer still stands" he got up walking out of the office and slamming the door behind
"Sir, you have a meeting with Mr. Thompson" Claire said
"I know Claire, thank you" I said into the intercom
"It's been rescheduled to his home sir" Claire said
I have to leave the office?
Darn.
"Thank you Claire. Tell Phil to get the car set" I said
"Done" she said
I smiled.
She was very efficient.
I got up and went out of my office.
Claire looked up as I shut the door
"You have a seven o'clock appointment at Montero with Mr. Connor" she said "More of a dinner"
"My dad?" I was confused
"Yes sir" she said
"Okay" I said "I'll go straight there after I see Mr. Thompson"
"Of course sir" she said
I walked towards the elevator
"Make an appointment for tomorrow when Mr. Marcos calls"
"Yes sir" she managed to say before the elevator door closed
It opened to the lobby. I got out and went towards the car
"Good day sir" Phil greeted
"Well done, Phil" I smiled as I got into the car
Phil got into the car
"To the Thompson's" he said
I smiled.
Claire was efficient.
"Yes Phil" I confirmed
I was on my phone all through the ride to the Thompson's.
Few minutes later
"We're here sir" Phil said
I opened the door and got out.
Looking at the mansion in front of me. It was almost like the older Thompson's mansion. I walked up the stairs to the front door that looked more like a wooden gate.
It opened before I could knock
"Good day Mr. Connor." Erin, the butler greeted
"Good day Erin" I entered the house
"Mr. Thompson will see you in his study" he said
"Thank you" I gave a curt nod and went to the Thompson's office
I knocked when I arrived in front of the office's door
"Come in" I heard
I opened the door and entered. I closed it before taking note of my surroundings.
