"So she forgave you!"

"Mhm." Lauren pops a rice crispy treat into her mouth as she smiles at Normani, cheeks still glowing from her conversation with Lucy that morning. They'd eaten the croissants together before Lucy let Lauren out. And for a second it had felt like they were going to kiss but Lucy let go of her hand at the door and closed it as she was about to lean in, something her friends spent a good 5 minutes laughing about.

Dinah looks up from her phone. "You're one lucky bitch, Laur, if it was me in here position... boy, I'd be on a plane right now."

"Yeah you never told us the whole story when we helped you win her back." Normani adds with a frown, "What were you thinking?"

"Guys," Lauren groans, "Can you leave my good mood intact for at least the rest of the morning. I know I'm an idiot."

"Good, as long as you're aware of that." Normani winks at her teasingly, "So we still have a couple more hours till we have to be at the venue. Is Lucy coming?"

"I don't know we didn't discuss it, let me text her." Lauren reaches over Normani and Dinah's attached bodies to grab her phone from the nightstand of the bed.

"Oh, I have a text from Lucy. Ally already invited her."

"Ooh Ally about to steal your girl." Dinah teases causing Normani to snort.

"Ha ha, very funny." Lauren focuses on her phone with a focused look on her face as she responds. "Guys do I use any emojis?"

"Did she use any?" Normani asks apathetically, focused on her own phone. Dinah's phone pings and the two girls giggle.

"No."

"Then no." Dinah responds like it's the most obvious thing in the world. Normani's phone lights up right as Lauren hears someone press send.

"Thanks. And are you guys really texting each other while with me? Guess I'll just give you some privacy." She means to fake being offended but to be honest, she actually feels a little left out.

Normani giggles as she puts her phone down, "Sorry, Lo, it was nothing important we were just playing. Let's go out I'm bored."

"No I wanna read what you guys said about me!" Lauren quickly reaches for Normani's phone but the girl locks it just in time. "No way, that's a private conversation."

"Exactly and besides, it has nothing to do with you."

"Yeah so give me back my phone."

Lauren groans, "Fine," she throws the phone onto the mattress and gets up, "Can you guys maybe move to Dinah's room and like each other more than you like me there? I have a good book I wanna finish before tonight's show."

Lucy [12:40 am]: Hey
Lucy: You looked amazing out there
Lauren: Aw thanks☺️
Lucy: Welcome. Just wanted to let you know.
Lucy: Night Laur
Lauren: Goodnight I love you

Lauren sighs and locks her phone when she realizes the "read" isn't gonna pop up below her message anytime soon. She turns on her side and places her phone beside her, still secretly hoping it will light up.

"You'll get back to where you were."

"How'd you know I was-"

"We've been best friends for nearly 4 years. Plus it's written all over your face."

"It is?"

"Yeah," Normani smiles, "you really love her."

"I really do. I still can't believe how stupid I've been."

"Me neither."

"Rude."

"Kidding." Normani chuckles, "Not really though."

Lauren's about to respond when her phone interrupts her. "She said I love you back."

"And all is well in the world again." Normani responds dramatically before locking her own phone and placing it on the nightstand.

"So-" Lauren starts before pausing.

"So what?"

"What were you and Dinah texting about this afternoon?"

"Not about you, or Lucy. Don't worry."

"Okay I believe you but what were you texting about."

"Nothing." Normani suddenly sound squirmish and Lauren wishes the lights weren't off so she could see her face. "We were just playing."

"Then why couldn't I read it? What was so private about it?" Lauren smirks at the girl, hoping she can read her expression just a little and know what she's hinting at. Even though she herself doesn't know exactly what she's hinting at. But she has the slightest clue at least.

"I don't know what you're implying here but whatever it is, you're wrong."

"I'm not implying anything, Mani. Just wondering."

"Well stop 'just wondering' and get to counting sheep. We have a 9 am call time and I know you wanna look good for your girl."

"Could say the same for you." Lauren mutters under her breath as she turns on her different side, back facing Normani.

"I'm sorry what did you say?"

"Nothing! Night."

Normani groans and Lauren can hear her move around, "Night."
