Chapter 17

Layla POV-

"So what do you say?" Vincent asked again.

"Yes...yes I'll marry you!" I yelled. My smile from ear to ear.

Vincent slid the ring on my finger.

He stood up and pulled me into a kiss.

It wasn't making out but it was perfect enough.

I felt something on my cheek. We pulled apart and it was raining.

I giggled. Opening up my mouth catching rain drops.

I looked over at Vince.

He smiled pulling me into another kiss.

"AHHHH!!" Rose screamed. Grabbing my hand and looked at my ring.

"I knew it would happen!" She pulled me into a bone crushing hug.

I laughed as I pulled away. "We will be going dress shopping soon!" She ran away. Josh smiled and said congrats.

"Well I have to go call my parents." I smiled kissing Vincent's cheek.

I hurried upstairs and entered my bedroom locking the door behind me.

I dialed the number.

M- hello??
L- hey mom!!
M- hey!! Layla, oh I miss you a lot!!
L- miss you to!! Actually I wanted to tell you something...?
M- well what?
L- get everyone on the phone, put it on speaker!!
M- haha good thing everyone is here!!
L- eep!!!
Everyone =E

E- what is it??
L- IM GETTING MARRIED!!!!
E- what?! Omg!! AHHH!! When?? With who??
L- yes!! I know!! AHHH!!! I don't know yet. And with Vincent!!

Everyone started screaming in joy.

I had to explain to mom & dad about the truth of running away.

They were yelling at me for about 5 minutes.

D- alright honey promise to be home soon!!
L- I will daddy!! I love you guys!!
E- WE LOVE YOU TO!!!
L- Bye!!
E- BYE LAY!!!!!

I hung up and sunk down to the ground.

I miss my family. A lot. I just wish I
Could joke around with Kyle. Gossip with Aubrey. Pull pranks on cooper. Hug my dad. Hug my mom.

I miss that. I miss being human.

"Layla..what are you doing?" Vince called from outside the door.

I didn't answer.

"Layla?" He whispered.

I stood up and unlocked the door an opened it.

"Are you ok?" He asked pulling me closer to him.

"I miss them Vincent." I snuggled closer to him.

Vince sighed. "I know." He responded.

As we stood there in each others arms doing nothing....
