I admit I was hesitant at first. But now that I have set foot in this place, I couldn’t help but feel a little ecstatic. Gabi na at walang chance na masilayan ko 'yung ganda ng beach, but the beach house itself was like an artwork displayed for everyone to see. It was huge, all-white, and simply flawless.

“Ang yaman niyo talaga, Seth. Pwede bang dito na lang ako tumira?” Of course, that’s what Chan would say.

But Seth was nowhere to be found. Kanina pagbaba namin, nawala na lang siyang parang bula. I guess he’s that excited to see his girlfriend.

“Mahiya ka nga, Chan. Kahit kailan.” Hans successfully recovered from his nausea after taking meds na binigay ni Alex - who, by the way, was nowhere to be found as well.

Chan just made faces at nakipaghabulan na kay Hans.

Pinagmasdan ko 'yung mga paintings na nakakabit sa wall. They’re all priceless works of art.

“Friends, instead of playing like kids, pwede bang tulungan niyo naman kami? Pambihira.”

I looked at Dominic who just entered the house, his hands full of our stuff. He struggled sa pagbaba ng mga gamit sa isang sulok.

“Chan, Hans, may mga gamit pa dun, pakuha naman, oh?” mahinang pakiusap ni Sara as she placed some of the paper bags sa table.

“Yes, Ma’am!” Chan and Hans said at the same time. Pero pinagpatuloy nila sa labas 'yung paghahabulan nila.

Then Sara eyed me. “Hoy, Mister Cold Guy, bakit nakatayo ka lang diyan?” She grinned. “Tulungan mo si Kai mag-prepare ng bonfire.”

“Stop calling me that,” I just said.

Namewang siya. “What do you want me to call you, aber?”

I answered without hesitation, “Mister Handsome.” 

“Borago?! (mworago - what did you just say?) Seriously, Kris. Kadiri, ah.” She laughed and I just shrugged, saka siya lumapit sa'kin at hinila ako sa sweater na suot ko. “Lumabas ka na dun at tulungan mo ang kaibigan mo na magprepare ng bonfire.”

“Kiss muna,” pagpapa-cute ko.

She laughed and hit me lightly on my cheek. “Kiss mo 'yang sarili mo.”

Lumabas na ako and looked for Kai.

“Ate Bianca~!” tili ko when I saw my sister. After 2 years nakita ko na ulit 'yung kapatid ko! Nakalimutan ko nang nasa tabi ko si Kuya Seth. Ako 'yung kapatid, ako ang dapat mauna. Tumakbo ako palapit sa Ate ko.

She looked at my direction. “Bunso!”

I hugged my sister the way I never did before. “I missed you, Ate.”

“I missed you, too, Bunso.”

Ugh, I really missed my Ate. Tapos bigla niya na lang akong binatukan. “Aray ko naman, Ate. Ang sakit nun, a!” Napahawak ako sa ulo ko.

“Gaga ka. Saan ka ba nagpupunta at ngayon ka lang nagpakita? 'Di ka nakakatuwa, Alexi Rei, ha. Isumbong kaya kita kanila Mommy.” Nagpatuloy si Ate sa pag-ayos ng mesa.

“E, 'di ba nagpaalam naman ako?” Lumapit ako at tumulong sa kaniya. “Tsaka Rei na lang, pwede?”

Umirap lang si Ate. “Pero hindi ka nagsabi na pupunta ka ng Korea.”
