Brantley kept tapping his pen on the bill of his hat, frustrated he couldn't find the right words to put on the paper in front of him. He knew how he felt, he just couldn't find the words for K.C now that he had her. Before, it was always a piece of cake for him. "It's gon have to wait til I'm home." He grumbled to himself, shutting the notebook with a frustrated sigh. The singer couldn't help but wonder just what his girlfriend was up to at the moment, but anything that popped in his head mirrored Call of Duty, and he wasn't so sure about that. That thought sounded so stupid to him anyway. He looked around his room on his bus, like there was an answer somewhere on the wall or on a shelf. He just felt empty and restless, the same feeling he had when K.C first left and he didn't like it, especially with what it led to last time.
Brantley heard a quiet knock at his door, "Ey BG, it's Thomas." The singer sighed and slowly got up off the bed and answered his friend. "What's up brother?" Thomas eyed him for a moment, catching on that something was wrong. "We're all goin out to dinner, wanna join?" Brantley shrugged, not really wanting to be around any couples at the moment honestly, but he knew Thomas would end up talking him into it anyway so he grabbed his hoodie and nodded his head, "Sure, let's go."
The five had settled into a rounded booth at a quiet diner they found, making small talk after placing their orders. "So Brantley, if you don't mind, I'm pretty curious about this K.C girl and how she wrapped you around her finger so quick like." Jessica raised her eyebrow at him with a playful smirk as Brantley chuckled. They all knew he had left Amber for her, just not all the deep details. "K.C's had me wrapped since the day she was born. Her, my brother an me are all a year apart. Kolby's youngest, poor K.C got stuck in the middle. We were thick as theives until Amber came along. I was crazy over her then, just to chicken shit to do anything bout it, so I got with Amber. Shit went down Kolby's senior year, I wasn't there when I should've been. She left that night an I hadn't heard a peep about her until I seen her at the airport when I got Kolby. I was fuckin floored. She ain't want no part of me though. It killed me when she left. I was already partyin all the time to deal with Amber's aggravatin ass, but I went off the deep end when I figured out she wasn't comin back, an Kolby left when I was on the road awhile after she did. I was doin anything I could get my hands on, even after I put out my first album. Then I wrecked my truck an did a number on my ass. Amber left me a couple of days later, daddy told me it was cuz I was askin for K.C when I was out of it an she found out I was on all that shit I had done that night. I figured then, if she ever did come back, or even if Kolby jus told her, I had to be someone both of them could be proud of. All I ever wanted was my Lil brother to look up to me, and for that girl to be mine. She keeps my ass in line." The two couples were just grinning at him as he finished, "You are so fuckin wrapped bro." Justin laughed at his friend, who shrugged. "Damn right." They all joined with Justin's laughter when his phone went off again, saying K.C had sent him a picture. He couldn't contain the smile that broke across his face, laughing harder when he seen the picture. They were in the woods, her and Kolby face to face, smiling, her bird finger in Kolby's face. They both looked tired. Behind them, the other guys were trying to make the most ridiculous faces possible. "They brought a selfie stick on the fucking mission." Was the caption that got his funny bone. Turning his phone, he showed his friends the picture. "Oh Brantley she's beautiful! And definitely looks like she would be with you." Lauren gushed. They all agreed with the blonde. "Oh, she's got me beat by far with tattoos. Should we send a picture back?" "Hell yeah!" Thomas and everyone let Brantley scoot around and take the picture the best he could. We don't have one. Lol. He sent it. "Ya'll, I'm sorry I let Amber pull me away so much. I honestly didn't realize she had done it as much as she did. I feel like I ain't hung with yall in forever." "Don't stress it man, we understand." Justin waved his friend off. "It bothers me, I didn't notice how bad she was until K pointed it out. That girl is a fuckin nut case." "Well, since you finally said it..." Lauren trailed off with a playful smirk and they all laughed. "Well trust me, y'all are gunna love K.C. She probably won't ever get her hair and nails done, or go shoppin with ya, but I'm sure yall will find somethin to do. I got no problem keepin er to myself though." They all laughed.
