Brantley jumped up when he heard banging and heavy footsteps running down his stairs. Looking over, he seen it was 3:30 in the morning. Before he could make another move, Kolby busted in already dressed to leave. "Jason just got ahold of us. We're leavin now. Promise bro, I ain't comin back without her." Brantley's heart leaped with hope. Kolby, Jax, and Mars had been at his house for three days. Three days worth of non-stop phone calls, pulling favors, demanding, hacking into things, anything they could think of. Brantley was proud he pulled out all the stops, he was truly handling the situation like a pro, whether his little brother realized it or not. The singer stood up and pulled him into a hug. "I'm proud of you brother. You be safe. We need both of you, all of you." He felt Kolby nod before he pulled back. "Love you B." And with that, he watched his little brother leave to go save his girlfriend and their team mate.
"Well how the hell can I sleep now?" He ran a hand over his hair and headed downstairs. The look Kolby had on his face made Brantley feel uneasy, but he needed to stay confident. In three days he had quickly caught on to how much they cared for K.C. Becky literally had to force them to eat, Brantley made sure everything stayed charged and Derek was also calling around and pulling favors.
He looked around the kitchen sighed, looking towards the bottle of Jack Daniels and then glancing at the fridge. He shrugged,  turning towards the fridge and grabbing a beer. The singer couldn't help but feel angry the redhead couldn't have just a good run of good luck. It seemed like everytime something looked up for her, something else smacked her right back to the ground. The woman was a fucking warrior if you asked him. Resilient as all get out, and she was all his. There wasn't another he could ever picture himself with, and there never really ever was before. He couldn't help but think about how different her life would be if he would've just been brave enough to tell her when they were younger. Would none of the shit that happened to her have happened? Would they of had kids? Would he still be famous right now if he didn't have her to inspire him when she left? A million questions ran through his mind as he sat on his back porch and sipped his beer. He couldn't wait to have her back in his arms. He was gunna make love to her in every inch of the house. For days. Weeks. People would wonder if they were dead. Nope. Just fuckin. He laughed at himself. He knew she would've laughed if she were here.
Brantley woke up late the next morning, still on the back porch as he stood to stretch. Hearing a noise, he raised an eyebrow and looked around before remembering he left his phone inside and darted for his bedroom. He seen a number on the screen he didn't know, something he hated until K.C came back in his life. "Hello?" "Hey bro, I was just giving you a number incase on some act of God they've made it back." Brantley's heart did a flip, he thought for sure it was her. "Aight brother. Y'all be careful. Love ya." "You too B." Brantley sighed and tossed his phone on the bed. He couldn't help but let a million scenes play over and over on what K.C and Jason had been through for all this time. Part of him didn't know what to feel, thankful she saved his brother, or pissed off she had put herself into harms way like she did. And without even giving Jason, who apparently had a wife a choice. He scoffed at himself, he knew Jason probably followed her just like he would have. The singer wouldn't know what to do if it wad K.C and Kolby missing. They both meant more to him than he felt he could ever let them know.
Getting out of the shower awhile later, he decided to head out and check food plots before riding over to his mom and dads. He was slowly realizing he needed friends that didnt tour all the time and weren't famous, he spent way too much time with his mom and dad. Not that he minded, kept him out of trouble. Grabbing his hat and his phone, not worrying about any of his rings or chains, he headed out the door to try and clear his head, which he knew wouldn't work. Nothing would work until she was back home. He could honestly say he gave mad props to the men and women who stayed home and raised a family while their spouse was fighting a war. He sat on his four wheeler awhile, looking over how peaceful his land was. The singer couldn't help but think about growing old, K.C next to him, their  grandkids visiting, leaving this land and his house for them to carry on. He felt crazy having all these thoughts knowing K.C couldn't bare children herself, but that didn't mean for one second he couldn't love another child like his own blood. He would do it for her, anything for her as long as it put a smile on her face. Now he just had to prepare himself for however she would be when she got back.
