I kept chanting in my head but damn these stupid tears, they always fall when you don't want them to. I was absolutely dumbstruck by Mr. Salvestro's behavior especially when he slammed the door.

I don't know what have I done to displease him so much. All I have done is being diplomatic. So much for trying to do your job well.

"Hey, are you okay?" I turned towards the voice and saw Mia looking sympathetically at me. I quickly wiped my tears and smiled painfully at her.

"Yeah, I'm good." I sniffed. She shook her head at me and walked towards me.

"I heard him close the door with a bang, so I came quickly to check on you." She rubbed my arms smoothly making my tears threaten to fall once more. "What happened?"

I didn't want to repeat whatever happened but I had to somehow remove it from my chest, so I told her everything from start to finish. If I was not in a bad mood, I would have laughed at her expression. Her mouth was opened like a gold fish and her eyes were wide.

"Antonio kissed your hand?" She whispered shockingly.

"This is what you've captured from whatever I've just told you?" I incredulously asked her.

"Well, yeah, because Mr. Salvestro having angry fits is no secret. You should get used to it by now." She waved her hand at me. "Now, back to Antonio, was he flirting with you?" Mia seemed as excited as a young girl who just received her favorite doll.

"No, he was not flirting, he was just being polite." I quickly answered, quickly dismissing her thoughts. She seemed quite disappointed by my answer but soon regained her enthusiasm.

"Well, if you meet him again, do mention my name and tell him I'm a huge fan. I don't think I'll be able to meet him face to face because of my job but if you get the chance don't forget me." She grabbed my hand and squeezed it.

"I will." I promised, chuckling at her. She definitely got it back. Thank God, Mia's here, or else I would be completely drowned in sadness by now.

"Come, let's have our lunch." My eyes widened when I heard her. It was already lunch time.

"Where?" Mia opened the door of the boardroom and walked out. When I took a step, everyone was looking at me, some were staring with pity while others were smiling wickedly. I decided to ignore them and followed Mia.

I looked behind me and noticed Mr. Salvestro's door was closed. I hope he is not there right now.

Mia walked the elevator and pressed number 20. Once we arrived at floor 20, I could smell the delicious smell of food making my stomach grumbled, making Mia look mischievously at me.

"Somebody's hungry." She stated making me blush. "Come." She pointed towards the table in the corner of the lunch room. I noticed Jackson was there with a colleague of his.

"Hey, Ava." Jackson greeted me happily.

"Hello, Jackson." I replied back, taking a seat next to Mia. "How are you?"

"I'm great. Are you here to have lunch?" He asked taking a bite of his burger.

"No, you fool, she came to a lunch room to dance." Mia sarcastically replied making me laugh out loud.

"Oh yeah, silly question. Let me rephrase that. What will you have?" He scratched the back of his neck nervously.

"Umm, the same as you." I pointed to his burger.

"Okay, I'll order it for you. Mia, the usual?" Mia nodded at him and with that Jackson walked towards the canteen.

"Your food, ladies." Jackson handed us our plates and I did not hesitate to start digging in.

"Wow, this is so good." Mia moaned. I nodded at her in agreement. It's one of the best meals that I have had since many months.

"So, how has been work till now?" Jackson asked, making me come to a still.

"Um, good." I lied. Part of me didn't want to tell Jackson what happened back there. I mean I'm not yet good friends with him.

"Of course it'll be good. She's got Mr. Salvestro as a boss and she even got to meet Antonio DeLucas today." Thank God Mia came to my rescue.

"Wow, that's awesome, Ava." Jackson seemed proud. "Oh, speaking of the devil." Jackson pointed behind me. Oh no! Please, please, please.

I slowly turned towards what Jackson was pointing and saw Mr. Arrogant Ass himself with another man by his side.

"Oh my Gosh, he's so hot." I heard Mia mutter next to me, eye raping the man next to Mr. Salvestro. She was right though. The man had sandy blonde hair, slightly tanned skin and seemed to have a really toned body. He was really tall but Mr. Salvestro was taller and more handsome than him. Woah! Where did that come from?! I think I'm losing my mind.

I think the fact that we were staring hard at them made them turn towards us. Shoot! Mr. Salvestro's hard gaze turned towards me and his jaw clenched while the man next to him smiled mischievously.

I quickly turned back and took a huge bite of my burger.

"They're coming, they're coming." Mia kept chanting, making me eat faster like a pig and soon I felt shadows next to us.

"Hello, ladies and gentleman." The man next to Mr. Arrogant Ass said, smiling at us. Oh gosh, even he's got a gorgeous accent. What is it with all the males here?!

"Hi." Mia shyly waved at the man and blushed. If there was no one around, I would have laughed at her.

"What's your name my lady?" The man took a seat next to Jackson and took Mia's hand in his and kissed it. My eyes went to Mr. Salvestro and noticed him roll his eyes muttering something under his breath. Always mad, I see.

"Mia." Mia replied turning scarlet.

"And what about her? She doesn't talk?" The man directed at me. I was about to answer him but someone beat me to it.

"No, she doesn't Rafe. Now let's go." Mr. Arrogant Ass glowered at me, while answering to the person whom I guess is Rafe. I frowned at him for making such a statement for me.

"But at least tell me her name, Seb." Rafe argued, staring mischievously at me, making me look at my lap.

Mr. Salvestro sighed heavily before answering, "Her name is AvaGrace." My name rolled perfectly from his mouth. "Now, let's leave." He ordered through gritted teeth.

"Okay, okay." Rafe held his hands in surrender and stood from his seat. "Well, it was a pleasure meeting you. And I'm Rafaello Salvestro, Seb's cousin brother." Rafe introduced himself to us.

"I want you in my office in ten minutes, Miss Wilson." Mr. Salvestro commanded, making me gulped. His famous glare was still on his beautiful face. I nodded at him.

"Bye gorgeous." Rafe winked at Mia, making her blush even harder and once they was out of sight, she started fanning herself making me chuckle at her actions.

"I swear these Salvestro brothers will be the death of us!" She dramatically said.

"Girls." Jackson mocked making Mia glare at her.

"Shut up, crackpot!" Mia narrowed her eyes at him. "Let's go, Ava."

Once we left the lunchroom, my mind drifted to Mr. Salvestro.

I hope he doesn't fire me.

Okay, this was not my best chapter but I didn't know what to write,

But I promise the next chapters will be better.
