I was sitting in my office with my hands on my forehead. I can't believe he thinks so lowly of me. All this time, all I have been doing almost everything that a professional personal assistant should do. But still, he is always dissatisfied.
The ring of the phone brought me out of my thoughts. Here we go again.
"Yes, Sir?"
"Bring me coffee." He ordered. I got my seat and walked to the kitchen. I quickly prepared his drink and walked back to his office. It slowly placed the coffee on his table and took a step back. Once agin, he did not acknowledge my presence.
"Anything else, Sir?" I asked.
"Your computer is being set up right now." He informed me while still typing on his laptop. That's great. I'll be able to perform more constructive tasks now and prove him that I am not worthless. "These papers on my desk are in a mess, so organize it into a proper stack." He pointed towards the papers messily scattered on his desk. "And as soon as your computer is set up, I would like you to type four bids for me and hand it back in half an hour."
"Okay, Sir." I said, walking to the disorganized papers. "Anything else?"
"I want you to organize my agenda, place the meetings in order of priority and add future meetings to the list." He ordered. "And next time you bring a notebook when you come in my office." He barked, glaring at me.
"Yes, Sir." I brought the stack of papers to my chest.
"You may go, now." He went back to typing. I nodded and made my way outside his office.
Once I was in my office, I noticed my computer was set up. I smiled giddily. Finally.
I started organizing his papers. Ten minutes later I was done and started to type the bids.
My eyes kept wandering to the clock and thank goodness, I was still one time. Exactly thirty minutes later, I was done with typing the bids and mailed it to him. I was really proud of myself.
A few seconds later, a ping sound brought my attention. He had replied to the mail saying,
Not good enough. Do it again.
I noticed his signature was, Sebastian Salvestro, CEO of Salvestro Enterprises. Wow, he did have an alluring name.
I sighed heavily and redid everything. I sent it to him and once again, the reply was, not good enough.
I bet this gorgeous man cannot be easily satisfied.
I re-typed the bids for the third time and sent it to him. This time, the response was different.
Not bad.
I really wanted to jump on my seat and start dancing like maniac.
Come to my office. He sent another mail, and my temporary happiness vanished in the air. Oh my god.
I walked to his office and saw him talking the phone. he gestured me to sit down. He seemed to be listening intently on what the sender was saying. "Well, he'd better agree to our terms and conditions or he can say goodbye to his company." He snapped at the person, ending the call.
"I want you to come early tomorrow. We'll be having a meeting with the DeLucas. And dress up properly." He barked at me. My mind immediately drifted to Antonio.
"Okay, Sir." I replied.
"You can go home, now." He said. Great.
I can say I have survived today.
