"All the best," Mia did a thumbs up at me and walked back to her work station. I was near his office and my insides were churning with every step I took.

Please God, make sure he doesn't fire me. I kept chanting in my head.

I finally reached office. With shaking hands, I knocked on his door.

"Come in," his hard voice commanded making me even more scared. I slowly opened the door to see his typing on his laptop with the usual scowl on his face.

I noticed Mr. Rafaello sitting opposite him, looking at his phone but once he grinned widely once he saw me.

I, on the other hand, couldn't smile back because of the tension building in me.

He's gonna fire me in front of him. I clenched both of my hands tightly in fear and apprehension.

"Are you even listening to me, Miss Wilson?" His furious voice snapped me out of my thoughts. My biggest mistake right now was making eye contact with him. I so wished I hadn't. He said in irritation making me blink my eyes several times.

"Umm, what did you say?" I inwardly winced because I knew the snapping I was going to hear. From the corner of my eyes, I saw Mr. Rafaello trying to hold back his laughter. I noticed his mouth quirk up. Mr. Salvestro, on the other hand, took a sharp intake of breath and ran his hand over his hair. My eyes followed his every actions. His hair seemed to smooth and soft. I wish I could do that to him. Woah! Where is that coming from now?!

"I said make ten copies of this document." He calmly said, handing me the piece of document. He's not firing me?

"Y-You're not f-firing me?" My voice was trembling.

"The next time you ask me another stupid question, I'll personally throw you out." He said, through clenched teeth.

I vigorously nodded my head and took the paper in my hand. I walked to the photocopier and repeated the steps he had showed me and did ten copies.

In a matter of minutes I was done and I handed him back the papers that were quite warm in my hands. He roughly too k them from my hands and inserted them in a plastic folder.

"Hey, AvaGrace," Mr. Rafaello said drawing my attention to him. "I'm not good at Algebra. Could you help me to solve this equation, please?"

"Um, okay." I saw Mr. Salvestro shaking head and went back to typing.

"Could you solve, U+I=69?" He grinned like a Cheshire cat.

Even I was not so good at Algebra, but since he asked me this question, I need to at least show my intelligence. From the corner of my eyes, I noticed, Mr. Salvestro lean back in his seat, focusing on me.

"Um, this equation is wrong because to solve an equation you need to have numbers on both sides. But since sixty nine is the only number, I don't think this equation can be solved." I replied proud of myself. But apparently, Mr. Rafaello did not expect this answer because his face was full of surprise and mouth widely opened.

I turned towards Mr. Salvestro. He was amusingly looking at me but once he saw me look at him, his expression changed to a blank one. Did I really see him smile?

"Oh, okay." He muttered, scratching the back of his neck.

"Miss Wilson, make two copies of this." He once again handed me another document. I was getting to this task now. In a matter of seconds, I was done and really pleased with myself.

"Wow, Seb, you've got yourself a very competent assistant." Mr. Rafaello stated, making blush.

"Competent?" Mr. Salvestro huffed. "She's nothing but a worthless assistant." He said in so much wrath, appalling me.

Mr. Rafaello, was no longer smiling but was now frowning at his cousin. I looked back at the floor, reluctant to look at him. I knew if I did, I would cry once again.

"I'm done with you, Miss Wilson. Now get out." Mr. Salvestro snapped at me. I nodded and immediately left his office.

I entered my office, closed the door and leaned against it. He just called me worthless.

Sebastian's POV

"Don't you think you were a little harsh on her, Seb?" Rafe asked, frowning at me. "No." I said in a hard voice. "She deserves this treatment. Haven't you seen how she was flirting with you?" I venomously said.

"Flirting?" Rafe incredulously asked. "Dude, I was the one flirting with her. She's so innocent, smart and polite. I mean from all your past secretaries, she's the only one who hasn't tried to flirt with me." Why the fuck was he siding with her, now and what is it with all those praises?!

"You don't know her the way I do." I still remember the way she was gazing at Antonio. She was impressed by him. "And I don't want you to talk to her anymore. You're my cousin and you will do as I say." I ordered. I expected Rafe to argue with me but he was smirking at me.

"Oh, I get it." He leaned forward and rested his elbow on the table. "She's all yours, brother. I'm not interested. You know I have a strong liking for wild cats and not submissives like her." He teased making me even more angry.

"Just shut up! And if you're done, you can leave." I spat at him.

"Okay. See you soon, brother." With that, Rafe left my office.

I don't understand why does everyone like her so much. First, my father, now Rafe. Gosh! But I won't fall in her trap.

I am aware of these kinds of girls. First, they make you fall for their innocent and vulnerable looks, then once you've fallen for them, they break your hearts. All they want is money, reputation, class.

I will not let her succeed in her plans. I will make her life so hard that she will leave this office on her own.

My mind however drifted back to how she was concentrating to solve Rafe's equation. She was so naïve that she did not even realize that he had made a perverted joke. My lips automatically turned into a smile when I recalled that.

No! She's not naïve or innocent. That's just a façade.

Miss Wilson, you better get ready for what's awaiting you. I smiled devilishly when I started forecasting what will happen to her once I'll start pushing her to the edge.
