Your P.O.V.

You sip on your drink, hoping you could blend in the crowd of normal people for tonight. You don't want to be different; you just want to be yourself. The person you are is everything except ordinary, normal, typical or just a bit average and that makes you so special.

You drink your f/d and continue to talk about another topic you are more drawn to. As Jack continues to talk and smile, saying everything he has to say, you keep utterly silent not saying a word.

Jack doesn't notice this because of how happy he is about talking. He has yet to remark that his girlfriend has something on her mind. Not even a big problem or anything, she just craves for this one thing: FOOD.

After a few seconds it appears Jack is feeling the same way and the topic change again. He stares into your beautiful big E/C eyes and starts to smile.

'You're hungry, aren't ya?' he smiles and you have to give him your respect. When finally remarking your "absent" he knew exactly what you needed. And that is what you like about him. He knows immediately what you want without having to ask you.

'Yes! I'm starving!' you say while your stomach agrees. You hope they serve big portions here, because this girl is on a hunt for some food and she is not going home empty handed! You smile as Jack rubs over his belly and winks. 'That makes two of us!' he exclaims.

Jack hands over the menu and you start to read the first page. Something that grabs your attention from the beginning is the high prises on that list of tasty food. You know you don't have to pay but it still makes you feel uncomfortable. Why couldn't he just bring you to the nearest McDonalds? Then you remember who you're talking to: the man who would do anything to impress his girl.

You keep looking and reading through the menu, trying to ignore the prices. While acting like you are choosing your dinner, you secretly look at Jack, holding your eyes just above the big menu.

He is reading like it is one of the best novels he has ever seen and therefore has yet to notice you staring at him. His grey fainted hair is almost hanging in front of his eyes and he seems not to care. His white blouse fits his body and shows of the world that his muscles are underestimated. He is in shape, more than that. He could be an underwear model without even trying to.

Randomly your boyfriend dropped the menu on the table and smiled. He had already made his choice but you haven't even read through the whole menu. There is so much that you like and you want to try it all, sadly your stomach is not big enough for that.

'I think I know my choice!' Jack smiled and he waited for you until you would respond or continue acting like you where reading the menu. You decide to ask him what his choice is; maybe it is something you like too?

'What are you going to have?' you ask him. He opens the menu again, probably looking for the right name, only to come back to the conversation not long after. He says one simple word that makes you laugh: 'soup.'

'So I guess we are having a three-course menu?' you smile and Jack nods with that big smirk almost covering all of his face. You laugh again, and again, until you are completely out of air and you need to stop laughing.

You start to read the menu for real this time and try to make a choice about what you are going to eat. After all, that is way you're here. You study the menu extremely interested and try to figure out what to order.

As hit by a lightning, you know what you want and also lay down the menu. You look up at Jack, who is smiling at you (probably because of how adorable you are).

Jack tries to start a conversation where you participate in, without him talking so much you cannot interfere. He starts to blush so you know the question must be very awkward or just odd. What could you expect with someone like Jack?

'I know this is wear but I never asked you how old you are,' he laughs as his cheeks conker their pale colour back. He rubs with his hand over his hair and starts to play with his sleeves, a tick he has had for many years.

'I'm 26 years young!' you smile and you see that Jack is about to roast you before he remembers that this is a date. Yet it doesn't stop him from making a joke and you already hear it coming from miles away.

'Really?! I thought you were 40 years or older!' he jokes and you see how he laughs about his own humour. Didn't he once said that as long as you laugh about your own joke, it doesn't matter that other don't?

'Oh, you are going to regret that God gave you a mouth and you were stupid enough to insult me!' you smile raising your voice a slight bit. Normally you would be yelling for fun, but you are sitting in a restaurant, you cannot do that right now.

You don't know if it was because of you raising your voice or because Jacks hard laughter but the waiter suddenly came rushing to your table asking you for your dinner of choice. You blush when you understand you raised your voice maybe a slight bit too hard and Jack (who does the same) leaves it up to you to order first.

You order your food and the waiter takes off again, once he is out of reach you both start to laugh uncontrollably and you cannot to anything else than laugh or at least smile. You are having so much fun without intending, and that makes it even funnier.

You laugh again, share some stories about family and rush through some other themes. Some of them are memes, or books, dance moves and all those crazy things you normally never discuss on your first date. ...NORMALLY, a word that doesn't apply to you for even a second of your lives.

Waiting for about half an hour or less, your food is served and you can already smell it before you can see the plates go out of the kitchen. You have a hunger that can maybe never be silenced and you try to make your stomach shut up before you get unwanted attention.

The waiter has hurried; your food is served not even half a minute after it was carried out of the kitchen. The plates are lukewarm; otherwise the food would be losing temperature quickly.

Jack claps in his hand once the waiter serves your ordered food and he seems to enjoy it as much as you do. He is so happy about your first date that you do not want to get the topic starting again. The topic about you leaving America...
