The Road to....Somewhere???

Ashley's p.o.v.

Wait, did she say she would like to have her lips on mine all night long?

Drinking is so bad for me.

Logan grabs my hand, indicating she wants me to get up. I do so, and let her lead me back into the house. We silently head into the living room, and look around for Erin and Cassie. I see them sitting alone on the couch at the back of the room. I guess she sees them too, because she starts leading me over to where they are.

"Hey there. Where have you two been?" Cassie gives me a huge grin, while her mind runs around in the gutter. I know my friend too well.

"We were just outside on the porch, talking." There is only room for one of us to sit, so without giving it any thought, I sit down, and pull Logan's hand, letting her know I want her to sit. I can't believe how bold I am being tonight. Our little conversation helped me out a whole lot. For one, I know she likes me. That sort of releases some of the tension right there. On top of that, she doesn't seem to mind going at my speed, so any pressure in that area has been alleviated. 

"Okay, so, I'm bored. Y'all want to get out of here?" Cassie asks.

I look at Logan, and she looks down at me. She smiles at me, and tells me she will do whatever I want.

"Sure. We can continue the party at my place, if y'all want." I cannot believe I just offered for this girl to come to my house. I am usually very guarded about my home. Like I said before, only a handful of people have ever been to it, and here I am inviting a stranger to it. Another shocker, it does not seem to bother me one bit.

Everyone agrees to this. Of course, Erin and Cassie love coming to the house. There favorite thing to do is hang out in the theatre, down in the basement. Like me, they are both movie fanatics. I wonder if Logan likes to watch movies?

I have sobered up a good deal by this point, and feel okay to drive, but the other three do not agree. It is finally decided that Erin will drive my truck, Cassie will drive their car, and I will ride with Logan. How in the hell did that just happen? While I'm still trying to figure out how I got booted from my own vehicle, I am being lead out of the house by Logan, still holding my hand. We walk up to a black Chrysler 300. Very nice. She unlocks the door and opens it for me to get in. How thoughtful. She shuts the door and walks to the drivers side. She gets in and we head off.

Logan's p.o.v.

Driving down the road, Ashley in the passenger seat, I feel pretty good. This night has already completely exceeded my expectations for it. I can't stop thinking about the kiss Ashley and I shared. It was amazing. I felt it all the way down to my toes. No one has ever kissed me like that before. I didn't want it to ever end. When she broke it off, I had given her a look of confusion, wondering why she had pulled away. That was when she freaked. It's cool though. After talking to her, and reassuring her that we could go slow, she seemed to be so much more relaxed.

I cut my eyes over at her, wondering what she is thinking about. I'm not one to hold my thoughts in for long, so I ask her.

"Oh, uh, I was just thinking about us going back to my place. I have to be honest. I don't usually let people come to my house. Not many people know where I live." Okay, well, I did not see that one coming. 

"Hey, if you don't want me to come, it's okay. Just call Erin, and I will let you get in with her." I so did not want her to be uncomfortable again.

"No. Oddly enough, I don't think I mind you coming."  

We ride the rest of the way in silence. There is that comfortable silence again. I am concentrating on Erin in front of me, watching for brake lights. Fifteen minutes after we leave, I sense that they are slowing down, and Ashley confirms this when she tells me we are almost there. We are on a stretch of road that I have seen nothing but trees on. When I see Cassie turning off, I am trying to figure out where she is going. I still see nothing but trees.
