04||Me and Peter talks about life...over pepperoni pizza
Never in my life did I once think that I would wish upon a shooting star. Moreover believe in a stranger I met only a few couple of hours ago. More so believe in his "promise" that sounded straight from a plot of a fairytale book. But I was desperate. Beyond desperate to turn Kim Taehyung the way he was before. The happy, cheerful and bright idol that I fell in love with, a few years ago. Do this, for him. I know you miss him the way I do. I mean, come on, what could possibly happen? Shaking off my hesitation, I decided to give it a shot as I clasped my hands tightly and searched for the right words in my jumbled head, fearing that I would lose my only wish because of thinking too much.
Focusing my attention back to the magically glittering shooting star (note sarcasm), I quickly closed my eyes and decided to give it a try. Like a six-year-old girl who was told that blowing the candles in her birthday cake would grant her any wish possible.
"Please please please let Taehyung be the joyful, innocent, childish boy he once was. Taehyung deserves to be happy. More than anyone. That's my only wish that I want to ask for." I said looking at the twinkling star, unexplainable fear, and determination clouding my mind. Damn. I feel stupid, at the same time feel that it'll somehow work. I sweat dropped, the corner of my lips twitching as I leaned on the edge of the balcony, trying to relax and contemplate my struggling soul.
So I waited, and waited, and waited until I ran my hand through my hair, my patience running low. "Nothing is happening." I grumbled, hope shattering from my mind, changing instead into embarrassment and anger. "Pabo (stupid) Yuki! Why did you trust a complete stranger, when you clearly know everyone you trust always end up lying to you." I didn't notice a tear fall down from my right eye, my heart crushing at horrible memories replaying in the back of my mind.
I turned around with a disappointed look on my face, shaking my tearful face as I looked at the mindless sky with a painful smile. "Just like I expected. I'm such a fool. I shouldn't have listened to him. It was probably some nonsense he made up just so that he wouldn't feel-." My voice died down when I noticed something unusually strange, causing a chill to run through my spine. It's too quiet. I noted as I turned around, half expecting a huge ass monster to be behind me. But to my relief, there was nothing. However, my eyes furrowed when I noticed a minor detail in the sky, peering closer to it as I recognized the problem.
The shooting star was back on its original position, not moving at all. It was floating like a giant, shining UFO that somehow made its way on Earth. My eyes caught the sight of the streets below my balcony, and that's when I screamed out of my lungs. To my horror (and low key my delight), I saw people transfixed on their positions, some making out in the corner of the tinier road, some in the middle of yelling things at each other, some with their beer halfway down their throat, and some shitting (I swear I saw the poop only halfway out of their butt. I know. It's gross).
My eyes widened at the unsuspecting scene, my mouth dry as I tried to find the most reasonable explanation possible, but ended with none. "W-what's going on!" I panicked, my voice going an octave higher as I stumbled a few steps backward, my eyes losing focus as I swallowed a lump that had formed in the bottom of my throat. D-did it actually work? Did my wish happen? If it did, why did everything stop-?
"Curiosity kills the cat, princess." An embarrassing squeal erupted as my hand shot behind my back and grabbed a fistful of his shirt, turning him around in reflex. "Y-you again! What do you want!" Gowling at the familiar smiling face, I cautiously let go of his wrinkled gown, eyeing him up and down, taking in his calm yet alert structure. "Hi princess! It's me, Peter." Peter giggled as he waltzed around the room, bouncing up and down like a kid on a sugar rush. "Woah woah, what are you doing here? And what are you even wearing?" My eyes scanned his attire, his happy facade not faltering even the slightest.
