Ash woke up the next morning with Meowstic curled into his body, her head buried in his chest. She was such an affectionate Pokémon. Pikachu yawned and squeaked when Ash blew air in his face. Pikachu's little noise made him chuckle.
"Meow?" The white Pokémon purred. Ash scratched her ears and she closed her eyes, smiling. The rest of his Pokémon had gotten up now, so Ash called all of them back. But when he tried to put Meowstic in its pokeball, it cringed away, hiding underneath the covers. Ash rolled his eyes and put the pokeball back on his belt on the table next to him.
"Alright fine." Meowstic purred while Ash went to get his everyday clothes on. He was ready to go, so he held his arm out for Pikachu to climb onto his shoulder, and he picked up the Meowstic in his arms.
They got downstairs to the dining room, and everyone was pretty much there already, waiting for Clemont and Serena to finish breakfast. "Ash, good morning!" Professor Sycamore exclaimed when he saw him.
"Hi professor." He greeted. "Where's the Pokémon food?"
"It's in the cabinet in the kitchen." Sycamore said. Ash nodded and made his way to the kitchen, stopping to say good morning to the rest of his friends. Dawn kissed him good morning, scratched Pikachu and Meowstic, then went back to her conversation.
He got into the kitchen where Clemont and Serena were. "Morning guys."
"Morning." Serena and Clemont responded. He put Meowstic on the table and reached up to grab the Pokémon food and 5 bowls.
"Smells good guys, awesome." Ash complemented. They smiled their thanks and went back to making it.
"Meow" Meowstic purred. Ash smiled and scratched the Pokémon and started pouring the food. Once he was finished, he put the food back and stared. How was he gonna do this? Meowstic and Pikachu grabbed a bowl, which made it a little easier, but three were left over.
"Need help?" Serena asked. Ash looked at her and smiled.
"Yeah thanks." He grabbed two bowls and she one, and they walked out of the kitchen. All the Pokémon were kind of in a group eating their food, so Ash and Serena put them down by Serena's Pokémon. Ash's Meowstic shyly put hers down by the blue Meowstic, who purred. Pikachu just set his down wherever and started eating. Ash let the rest of his Pokémon out and they attacked the food with gusto.
"Serena! Breakfast is finished!" Clemont called. Serena looked back and answered okay.
"Do you guys need help carrying?" Ash asked. Serena nodded and they entered the kitchen together.
"Since when are Ash and Serena on speaking terms?" Korrina asked Bonnie. Bonnie shrugged.
"I don't know. But it's kind of nice, every time you walked into a place where the two of them could see each other, the tension was just unbearable." Dawn was confused too. Ash and Serena seemed to be perfectly friendly again, and she was a little jealous. Serena is the girl who beat her out for Top Coordinator, and she's the girl Dawn has to beat in order to become Kalos Queen. And she didn't know if she could do it. Not to mention, Serena was gorgeous, and there's a lot of history between her and Ash. She might have to end up beating her in a different competition, one she refused to lose.

After breakfast was over, Professor Sycamore cleared the dishes and told the group to go have fun. Delia stayed and helped, and they had a great time talking and cleaning.
"Serena, wanna go test out that mega stone?" Ash asked. Serena looked at him and smiled, nodding. They had been sitting in the living room for a while watching TV and catching up when Ash asked her that.
