"Finally, finally we're here!" Serena exclaimed, throwing her hands up as she stepped onto the paved path of Cyllage City. "It's just as beautiful as it was 6 years ago!" Serena spun around, her long, elegant, wedding-like braid spinning with her. Ash smiled and looked at Pikachu, who cheered.

"Hey Ash, since we're here, do you think I could challenge Grant?" Bonnie asked, looking up the mountain towards the gym. "I haven't gotten a badge from him yet."

"Go for it Bonnie! And are you going to do this showcase?" Ash asked the younger blonde.

"No I don't think so." Bonnie said, blue eyes dancing.

"I thought you loved Showcases?" Ash asked, confused. Bonnie's hands clasped behind her back and she leaned forward slightly.

"I do, but I want to focus on Gym battles right now. I think it'd be fun to try and get into the Kalos League." Ash's mouth dropped open slightly, then a wide smile broke out on his face as he curled one hand into a fist and bringing it down.

"Maybe we'll battle in the competition!" Ash exclaimed. Bonnie giggled and smiled, blushing slightly. Clemont watched his sister's pale cheeks darken, amused.

"Bonnie has a crush on Ash." Clemont muttered to Korrina, chuckling. Korrina laughed as well, nodding.

"So you noticed too? You're getting better at that." Korrina poked his chest with a finger, her blue-grey eyes dancing with mirth. Clemont smiled, puffing out his chest. Korrina rolled her eyes and brushed a soft blonde bang out of his face, smiling sweetly.

"No mushy stuff okay?" Bonnie said loudly, glaring at Korrina and Clemont. The two blondes just glanced at each other briefly, then laughed.

"Isn't it gorgeous?" Dawn asked Ash, smiling. Ash nodded, looking around the city, and smelling the sea in the distance. Gary rolled his eyes, he's more of a country boy, but the city did have a certain charm.

Soon their quiet peace had ended, people started recognizing Ash, Pikachu, and Serena. They were rushing the two of them, trying to get pictures and autographs. Dawn, Gary, Korrina, Bonnie, and Clemont were pushed away by the crowd swarming the Kalos Queen and Top Coordinator,  and the Champion of 5 regions. Slightly annoyed, those five decided to make their way to the Pokémon center to wait for Serena and Ash.

"Uh..," Serena said, slightly overwhelmed. She'd been rushed before, but never by so many people all at once. Ash looked equally uncomfortable, but he was handling it a little better than Serena.

"You okay over there?" Ash asked, looking over at the honey-blonde. She winced, causing Ash to smile slightly. They were rather close, caught in the middle of the human swarm. Serena was slowly pressing herself closer to Ash, trying to escape the large amount of people. Ash grabbed her hand secretly, giving it a comforting squeeze. The people were too focused on getting pictures that no one noticed.

Eventually the crowd died down, and Serena sighed. "That was rough." She muttered, sagging. Ash laughed.

"Have you never been rushed before?" He asked, chocolate eyes dancing in the fading sunlight.

"Yeah, but never like that. It was a bit overwhelming." Serena confided. Ash glanced around quickly, then pecked Serena's cheek.

"You'll get used to it." Ash waved a dismissive hand. Serena looked at him, puzzled.

"Are you used to it?" She asked.

"Kind of. I've only had to deal with that many people a couple times before," They started walking towards the Pokémon center, "But it still intimidates me."
