A few days later, the group had arrived at Snowbelle City. They decided to hit the Pokémon center and get the much needed treatment from Nurse Joy. Clemont was keeping all their Pokémon healthy, but it was a big job, and only Nurse Joy could truly get them back to full power.

"Oh my there's a lot of you." Nurse Joy said, slightly surprised at the invasion of young adults.

"Sorry about that. But could you take care of all our Pokémon?" Ash asked. He was holding hands with Serena, and couldn't be happier. Sure, Giovanni and Lysander were still out there, and sure they had more evil deeds planned, but right here? Right now? All that mattered was the soft hand in his. He was never letting go of her again.

"Of course! But it'll be a long time." Nurse Joy replied. The group shrugged.

"Do what you need to get our Pokémon back into top health. We've been through the mill lately." Clemont said, pulling out his pokeballs. Nurse Joy got individual trays for each person. The trainers placed all their Pokémon in their designated trays and went to sit down.

"I'm gonna go outside. It's really pretty." Bonnie exclaimed. She got up and took off, jumping down the steps. Clemont chuckled and rose to follow his sister, just to make sure she didn't get lost or anything. Korrina and Shauna followed him.

"I think I'm gonna go take a short nap." Dawn said, yawning. "Gary? If I'm not up, could you grab my Pokémon please?"

"Sure thing." He replied. Dawn smiled and pecked his cheek, then walked away to see if she could get a room.

"Jessie, Meowth and I are going to go call Grant and talk to Jana. We'll be back later." The three rose and walked off towards the video callers.

"I think Dawn has the right idea. I'll get us a room, okay?" Serena asked. Ash nodded.

"Make sure you sleep. From what Naomi told me, you need it." Ash said, looking intensely at the Kalos Queen.

"Ash, I'm okay, alright?" Serena said, pecking his cheek. "I'll see you later. You can grab my Pokémon, yeah?" Ash nodded, watching her leave.

"I'm gonna go check out those books." Trevor said excitedly. Ash and Tierno chuckled at the young man's enthusiasm. With the evacuation of Trevor, it was just Ash, Tierno, Naomi, and Gary sitting down.

"You don't need to worry so much about Serena, you know? She's really strong." Tierno said to Ash.

"I know. But I still do." Ash replied, looking at the stairs.

"You know, if you keep hovering over her like that, she's gonna snap." Ash looked towards Tierno, one eyebrow raised.

"I'll do what I like. Serena may snap, and that will be okay. But I'm not gonna not worry about her. She's been through hell and back the last few weeks. She's strong, but you didn't see her break down when I saved her."

"Yeah, but she could leave you. If you keep mothering her, you know? That's why she left Vaniville." Ash glared at Tierno.

"Uh Tierno, buddy? You're treading on dangerous ground here." Gary warned, voice low.

"Stay out of it Gary." Ash snapped. He turned back toward Tierno. "You may want to choose your next words very carefully." He threatened.

"I'm just stating a fact. She left Vaniville because her mother was hovering around her all the time, and if you keep doing it she'll leave you too." Tierno said, smirking. "And then she'll run right to me."

"Okay, first of all? Serena left Vaniville because her mother was pressuring her to be a Rhyhorn racer, when Serena wanted to find her own dream. She left Vaniville to get away from that and carve her own path. Her future had been laid out for her, and she didn't like it at all. She left Vaniville to find me for fucks sake." Ash growled. Tierno was pissing him off.
