The day Sam's tour ended

He couldn't come for Aidan's birthday, he only texted to apologise for that. He never wished me a happy birthday on text he just tweeted.

But now this torturous tour was over and he was finally coming back. Teddy and I were so excited.

"Mommy look how happy he is" Aidan grinned "I know you're excited too aren't you?" I asked "yeah I can't wait for pizza!" He cheered I rolled my eyes and finished setting up the banner,

I've missed Sam with all my heart. There's nothing I wanted more than to have him here with us. "Daddy!" Teddy was beaming all morning. "Is Nate coming over?" Aidan asked "yeah and the jacks" I said he smiled nodding

At around 1 ,Sammy's squad arrived and we waited. "Who's going to pick him up?" Johnson asked. "Us" I said holding teddy. "His plane is arriving in like an hour or something." I said "cool cool" he replied.

"The girls are getting so clever" I said "I know I'm so proud" Maddison grinned Nala,Nancy and Naomi. Naomi and Nancy were the spitting image of Maddison. Nala was most like jack.

"Nate are you alright to watch Aidan?" I asked he nodded "always" Nate said "bye guys" I said excitedly.

We set off our drive to the airport and the smile never left his face which in turn made me happy.

We arrived at the airport and waited  on benches where his gate was.

The 30 minutes dragged along as we sat waiting for Sam. Teddy ended up falling to sleep. "Flight 126 has now landed" a wave of excitement rushed over me.

I stood up and got closer he was sound asleep on my chest. People started walking out and my heart started beating faster.

All the passengers reunited with the people they were waiting for and Ted and I were stood there still waiting.

"Uh is....is everyone off the plane?" I asked "yeah I believe so Ma'am" I walked back and sat on the bench again.

He never showed up. I sat waiting for 3 hours and he never showed up. So I finally headed home. It was late past the boys' bed time.

I walked in through the door and placed Ted in my bed and went back down to Nate.

"Hey?" He said standing up. "Hey" I replied "where's?" He began "he didn't come" I said quietly "he's probably just caught up" Nate said pulling me
Into his chest.

"Teddy's going to be distraught" I sighed feeling tears well up. "Hey don't cry" he hummed brushing away my tears. "He's not coming back is he?" I asked.

"He probably will, you just have to give him time, he's busy" Nate said sounding unsure. "You're right his career should be first" i sniffled.

"Get some rest baby girl I'll stay tonight" he said one arm around my waist the other tilted my chin so I was facing him.

"Good night" I said kissing his cheek. He had a half smile and I walked up to the bed. "Can you stay in here?" I asked slipping off my leggings and got into bed pulling Teddy onto my chest.

"Sure" he shrugged taking off his shirt.I fell asleep holding onto Ted.

The next morning I heard little footsteps walk in. "Daddy" Aidan whispered poking Nate's back. "I'm not your dad bro" Nate chuckled.

"Why are you in my momma's bed bro" he asked climbing on. "Friends can share beds" Nate said "but that's my daddy's spot" Aidan said.

He never really defended Sam until now. "Is it alright if sleep in your Daddy's spot?" Nathan asked "I don't think daddy's coming home anytime soon so yeah" he said.

"Shall we go make breakfast?" I asked Aidan he nodded and we headed down stairs leaving Ted and Nate.

"Where's daddy? Nate wouldn't be in his spot for no reason" He asked as I got the bowls. "He's still on tour" I lied. "He'll be back for Christmas right?" He asked.

I shrugged "probably" I said I was currently unsure of where he is and what he's doing.

Aidan just nodded I poured his cereal and sat and ate mine. We finished our cereal and then cleaned up. "Are you gonna go up and get dressed you're going to grandpa's today" I said shoving my hair up in a bun.

"Yeah" he said and I went up to Nate and Ted. "He still snoozing?" I asked going to my closet. "Indeed" Nate replied eyes fixed on his phone.

"Are you working today?" "Yep" he said "I may or may not bring you lunch" I said coming out in my outfit for the day.

"That will be greatly appreciated" he said and went to the guest room which was practically his own. He had half his clothes in there and other things he had moved in over the years.

"I'm off, see ya kid" he said kissing Aidan's head "bye" Aidan responded sitting on my bed. "See you later"

He left and I woke Teddy up and gave a little food before dropping them off with my dad.

"I'll pick them up later" is all I said and went home to try and get hold of Sam.
