"Alana" he replied. "What are you doing here?" I asked "well I'm currently freezing cold and I was coming to apologise" he said.

"Is this my daughter?" He asked smiling slightly at Luna. "Yeah, look just come in and stay in there until I get you"

He did as I said "could you hold her for a minute?" I asked. He nodded gladly accepting Luna into his embrace and she calmed down.

I got the boys settled in their beds. "Who was at the door?" Aidan asked "oh just no one" I said "night mom" he said kissing my cheek.

"Alright" I sighed I had brought him a set of warm dry clothes down.

"Thanks" he said passing me Luna. Once he had changed we sat down.

"First of all, I want to apologise I never came home and never kept in touch" he said. "Yeah and I was left raising 3 kids on my own." I said.

"I guess I should explain why" "no don't bother" "your job is more important than us" I said.

"No no no, Alana I've just been manipulated. I started drinking, a lot and I was going to come home about 6 months ago, but I needed to come off it before I came home" he said. His hands shaking.

"How was life in New York?" I asked "parties and studio time" "did you enjoy it?" "I mean yeah it was good if you were in the right frame of mind otherwise it's just pointless." I nodded.

"Is that all that happened parties and music?" I asked curiously "I made three pretty good friends who are moving out here, Dillon Will and Derek" he said.

"Awesome" I said "how have the boys been?" He asked "Aidan's not changed and teddy well every since you left he stopped talking like he used to, he just sits in the upstairs window drawing waiting for you" I said.

"Can I see them?" He asked "I don't think that's a good idea" I said. "Right yeah I understand" he said.

"Want anything to eat?" I offered. "Uh nah I'm good" he said "Sam" I said knowing he was lying.

"Okay yeah just nothing fancy" he said. I came back in with a plate of pb+J sandwiches.

"Do you have a place to say?" He shook his head. "you can stay in the spare room" I said "thankyou" he said sounding sincere.

"Well I'm going to bed." I said still looking at him, he's here, in my house, he's not forgotten me, he still cares about us all.

"Night princess" I kissed Luna as she finally fell asleep.

"Mommy" "mommy" teddy said patting my shoulder. "Hey" I Yawned "can I colour?" He asked "yeah" I said getting up.

"Morning smiley" I cooed lifting Luna out of the crib and changing her diaper. Teddy was already concentrating on his drawings with his headphones on. "Sam" I whispered "morning" he said coming out.

"That's what he does all day everyday" I said. "Ted!" Sam yelled. Teddy turned round and squealed.

"Daddy! I knew Santa would bring you!" He leapt into his arms clinging on. "I've missed you too!" Sam chuckled.

"Are you back for good" "of course" teddy was still clinging to him like a Koala as we made our way downstairs.

Sam's POV

The moment I saw morbid look turn into a happy smile my heart melted. He was holding on for dear life. "Daddy I gotta show you something" he said.

He pointed toward my old studio I opened the door and the room was filled with colourful pictures he had drawn.

"I drew all the days you missed" he said shyly. I was almost crying he had drawn Aidan's first day at school, the day Luna was born, all the birthdays and gatherings. He had drawn all the Christmas' every trip to the park just for me.

"Thanks buddy, I love them who stuck them up?" I asked "Aidan did" he said admiring all the hard work he had put in.

"Look that's Aidan's basket ball game" he said pointing at one it had all Everyone in and  two people kissing.

"Who's this?" I asked. "Nate and mommy, I don't like Nate" he said scrunching his nose.

"When was Aidan's Basket ball game?" "Uh the first calendar day" he said. I nodded and we talked about every drawing.

"Boys!" Alana called meaning breakfast was ready. "Don't wanna miss out on mommy's pancakes!" I said.

He still held onto me as we went into the kitchen. Luna was in her high chair smiling instantly.

"Mommy where's Aidan? He gotta know daddy's home" teddy said.

"Aidan's coming" she said "okay thankyou" he taking a bite out of the pancake. "You sleep alright?" I asked her.

"Yeah I did actually" she said placing her plate and Aidan's down.

"Morning mom" Aidan sat beside Teddy "look Aidan Daddy's home" Aidan finally noticed I was here.

"What are you doing here?" Aidan asked. "I'm home" I said. "Don't get used to it Ted he'll go again soon" Aidan said.

"Aidan! Be nice he's your dad" Lana said "not anymore Nathan's my daddy" he said. We ate in an awkward silence due to Aidan's outburst.

"Is Nate taking me to basketball?" Aidan asked leaving the table.

"I don't know if he's coming over today" she said clearing away the dishes. "But he always takes me to basketball" Aidan said.

"Well Nash can take you" she huffed. "No! Nate's the coach he's gotta take me!" Aidan said. "Taylor and Nate will be here in two minutes go get ready" she said ending the conversation after reading a text.

He walked out going straight to his room. "Don't take it to heart" she said. "Daddy can we go to the Park?" Teddy asked I nodded. "Ask your momma first" I said going to help her.

"I got it" she huffed. "C'mon I'm trying to help" I said "we'll be helpful and go change Luna and then we can take them to the park." She said

I nodded picking Luna up and taking her upstairs. "What shall we wear today?" I asked her opening her closet.

"Hmm I mean I suppose I haven't done this before" I said and picked out a simple outfit.

"We gotta get you some of daddy's Merch." I said in a baby voice. "Bye Lu" Aidan came in and kissed Luna on the head through the bars of her crib.

"Have fun lil A" I said he dismissed my comment and left.

I dressed Luna and took her back down. "Alana I don't think I did it right" I said holding Luna at arms length.

"Nah you did good, considering you picked the most difficult item of clothing." She giggled "thanks" I said.

"Oh fuck no, Lana what do you think you're doing letting him in this house!"

"Nate, c'mon man just leave it" Taylor said pulling Nate back.

"Nate you need to leave Aidan and jake are gonna be late" Lana said. "No come on you've let him back in after he left you" he said pushing Taylor's arm off.

"Get out!" Lana said raising for voice. "Just go, Taylor could you bring Aidan back later?" She asked "of course" he said Nate had gone outside already.

"It's Uh it's great to see you again" Taylor said awkwardly "you too man" I said and he closed the door.

I let out a long breath and bit my lip before taking Luna to play with her toys.
