"Daddy, why doesn't Nate like you?" Teddy asked "because when I left it was something bad and Nate didn't like that"

"Well don't worry daddy I still love you, and so does mommy" he whispered hugging me.

"I love you too" I said kissing his head "can we go to the park now?" Teddy begged. "Come on then!" Alana said

We started the walk to the park. "We can play on the swings, and and we can play on the jungle gym, and and" teddy was super excited.

"Of course bud" I grinned. Alana just kept her eyes on the side walk pushing Luna in her stroller.

We arrived at the park and Teddy dragged me over to the swings. "Mommy watch!" He giggled as we swung higher and higher.

"Wow" she said pushing Luna in her baby swing. "Hey" Nicole and Shawn walked over to us. With Harper and Rosa. "Man it's been a while" Shawn said pulling me into a hug.

"How's everything going at Omaha Inc?" I asked. "Pretty good" he said "hey Nicole" I said.

"Sammy Wilk you're home" she said "indeed I am" I said lifting Ted up.

"You finally got your daddy back" Nicole said to him he nodded smiling more and clinging to my neck.

"He's finally not a deadbeat" she said in the same voice. I rolled my eyes and took Teddy to play on the jungle gym away from Nicole.

"Uncle Sam?" Harper asked joining us. "Yes Harper" I replied whilst guiding Teddy on the bars. "Does uncle Matt and Cam know you're home?"

"Nope, and they don't need to know yet" I said. "Oh okay" she said and walked back to her parents.

"I don't like her" Teddy said releasing the final bar and landing in my embrace.

"I don't like her mom either" I agreed.

We remained on the park for around 15 minutes before heading home for Aidan and Nate.

"Hey mom" Aidan said walking through the door with Nate and two other kids.

"Hello" Alana smiled "oh Hey Ivan and Jake" she said they all hugged her. "I said we would have them over night, Kian's super busy and I owe Taylor." Nate said sitting on the couch.

"That's fine" she said sitting beside him. He kissed her head and made brief eye contact with me and the younger two.

Luna began whining reaching out for Nate "dadada" she stuck out her bottom lip. Nate smiled and grabbed her from me.

"I missed you too princess" he said as she held tightly to the collar of his shirt.

"Can I get anyone a drink?" Alana asked. "Yea mom can we please have cola?" Aidan asked.

She contemplated before grabbing 5 cans of coke cans and two sprites. "The only can you boys can have tonight." She said passing them the cokes and a sprite each for Nate and I.

"Thanks" I said "Alana can I talk to you?" Nate asked. "Can't we talk here?" She asked. "It's important" he exaggerated.

"Well we're all family" she said. "Dad we're going to watch movies" Aidan took his cue to leave.

"Alright, Lana how long is Sam here for?" Asked. "Well it's his house, so he lives here" she said.

"In room next to mine" teddy smiled. "Okay Sam, I've got house rules" I looked up at him

"no sugar after 6, the kids have to be ready for bed at 8 Luna goes with Lana Teddy isn't allowed soda and if Aidan ever lets you come to a basket ball game just don't, Johnson stays at least once a week no disturbing. Aidan goes to school 4 days a week he has to be there by 9:30 and finishes at 2:45, Luna has two naps a day but obviously this morning there was a disturbance and bath time happens every two days." He said.

"Thanks" I said memorising them all "Nathan they are my kids, shouldn't I be the one to tell him what's what" Alana said passing Luna her pacifier.

"Father perspective" he said she just sighed and scrolled through her phone.

"Daddy can we eat out? I'm super duper hungry" Ted asked holding his stomach.

"Yeah sure come on then" I said desperate to get out of the awkward situation.

Alana POV

Sam left with teddy and I got up about to go call Sara. "Don't leave" Nate pulled me back underneath his arm. "Alright" I shrugged cuddling into his side.

"Please try and make things work for me baby" I begged I knew he'd submit to me.

"It's Hard you know" he groaned. "I know baby but try for me and teddy, look how happy he is and he's only been with Sam 4 hours!" I said.

"You're lucky I love you and these kids" he said and finally our awkward tension was subsided as our lips met.

"Is lil lady hungry?" He asked "she is due for a bottle so yes considering she ate all her food at the park" I grinned he chuckled lightly.

"Daddy's gonna get you some milk" he said tickling under her chin causing me to tense up-Sam is her dad.

Nate settled her down and asleep for a nap so we spent the afternoon watching some crappy day time TV show.
