Don't Leave Me

In this story i'm making is so Zeref can see and touch Mavis without killing her. It will makes sense for what I have in mind for the story, also he can see her in her thought projection. Alright into the story :)

It was a nice day out in the forest, the grass I was standing on was green and cool on my feet. The best thing about not wearing shoes, I can always feel the earth under me. I was looking around at the flower that were flowing in the wind and it brought a smile to my face. I took the path up to the little pond were I would sit on the edge and wait for him to come out of the water. I know he want to be as far away from everything, but I can't help but want to be right next to him at all times.

I reach the end of the pond and sit on the edge, sticking my feet in the coldness of the water were I feel completely calm. I heard the birds above me and I feel something tickling my feet, I start taking my feet out, but my ankle has something around it. Soon something emerges out of the water and I see Zeref smiling at me. He still has his wrist around my ankle and I'm scared he's going to pull me in.

"Hello Zeref, how your bath?"

"It's very refreshing."

I start sliding from my spot and closer to the water. I try to scoot back, but it's no use he's going to pull me into the water with him. I wiggle my ankle around in his hand, but his grip is to strong. I hold my breath and brace for the impact of the cold water to hit me, but it never comes. I see Zeref poke my forehead and chuckle at me.

"I would never pull you in, well clothed at least."

He gets out of the water and I cover my eyes. I don't want to see him in the nude, it just weird and I feel embarrassed. Something soft touches the side of my head and I move my hands to see him smiling at me. He helps me to my feet with a smile on his face. I smile back at him, but soon I see the grass he's standing on die and turn grey. He sees it too and his smile disappear all together. I take his hand into mine and start pulling him away from the withering forest behind us.

"It's not your fault you know."

"Yes it is."

We walk till we find a whole new section of forest. Zeref sits on a near by rock and rest his head on his hands. I hate seeing him like this, he can't help it. It's the down side of the curse. I hear him cry softly, the tears drip down from his hands and onto the dirt below him. I go over and hug him so he can at least know he's not alone at all. He quickly puts his arms around my waist and pulls me close to him and cries into my chest. I stroke his hair to sooth him and it seems to be making him feel better.

"Mavis, don't leave me again."

"I won't."

"You promise me!"

Hearing him shout that at me, made me scared a bit, but I knew he was afraid of being alone. He's been alone for to long and with everything that has happened between us, I can understand why he doesn't want me to leave him.

"I promise you I won't leave you."

I lift his head up with my hand and wipe his tears away with my thumb. I kiss the top of his head while he hugs me even closer like if he let go I disappear all together. I need to do something for him, something to make him happy. I got an idea in my head and I tap his shoulder.
