Zervis one-shots (Book One)

Big Day

This is it, the day that every girl dreams about. They day when two people become one in body an soul. Waking up, I knew I wouldn't be going the bed as the same person anymore, I would lose my old life and start a new one with him by my side,Forever.

"Mavis!"

"Huh, What!"

"You were spacing out." Lucy says.

I smile at her and wave my hand in front of my face. She shrugs it off and goes back to fixing my hair. Everyone is helping me get ready, well the girls at least, the boys are helping Zeref out in his room down the hall. I wonder if he'll like the dress I picked out? I feel Lucy tug at my hair, it stings a bit, but I'm to focus on other things.

"Mavis, I tied the ribbon on the bouquet, like you asked."

I see Wendy hold holing up the red with a bow on the front. I take them from her and feel the smoothness form the ribbon. "Thank you." Her whole face lights up as she runs off to help others with their jobs. Something Blue. Lucy, brushed the last of my hair and sets the brush down on the table.

"Alright, now your hair is all nice and silky."

"Thank you so much Lucy."

"Don't mention it, you helped me out on my wedding day to Natsu, this is just my gift to you sis."

Sharing a smile with her, we embrace each other, before she leaves me to check on the dress. That was nice of her, but Lucy has always been a nice person, so kind and caring. Couldn't think of a better sister-in-law. I feel something tap my shoulder, I turn around to see Mira beaming with joy.

"Hello Mira."

"I have something for you."

She pulls a small box out from behind her and hands it over to me. The box is small and pink, with a tiny card that says 'open me.' Untying the bow and opening up the box, I see a small bracelet cover in white flower.

"You can use this for the day."

I pull it out and slip it on. Something borrowed. I hug her and thank her over and over. I touch each flower on it's own then get yanked away from her. I was caught off guard and almost fell over my own feet.

"Hey what was-"

"Put your dress on now."

Zera hold my dress up and already open, so I can step right into it with no problem. Taking my robe off and tossing it on the couch, I place one leg into the dress then the next leg. The fabric feels soft on my legs, than against my stomach up to my chest. Zera moves my hair and zips it up. I turn around to show her, but I hear a collective gasp from everyone in the room.

"Mavis, you're so beautiful."

"The dress was made for you."

Comments are coming from everyone about how wonderful I look in my dress. Just then, we hear a knock on the door, followed by Natsu coming in. He's already in his tux when he stands in front of me. "You look wonderful." He smiles his toothy grin at me, I look over myself and smile back at him.

"What brings you hear Natsu?"

"Huh?...Oh Zeref wanted me to give you this."

He hands me a folded up piece of paper, that I open slowly. When I see the image on the paper, my heart leaps forwards remembering the first time I saw this image. It's the first drawing he ever made for me, us in the field while I kiss his forehead and hold his hand.

"I thought I lost this when we moved, but here it is, in my hands once again."

"He hid it from you, for this very moment."

He would do something like that. My something old. I fold the paper back up and place it inside my dress. I get a few weird looks for doing this, but I don't really care. Natsu kisses Lucy goodbye and heads back to Zeref's room. Erza comes over to me and puts her arm around my shoulders."Just a few more minutes till the big moment."

Now that I'm close to the alter, I'm staring to get scared, nervous, and excised. My legs feel weak from standing. I walk over to the chair closet to me and take a few deep breaths. This is normal, no need to be scared about anything. I feel my nerves ease for a few moments, then I hear the clock, the loud noise scared me.

"Mavis are you ready?"

I look up to see everyone gathered around me, with their hair made up, dresses on, with flowers in hand. All I can do is nod slowly and get up slow as well. Wendy gives me my own flowers. I feel the ribbon touch my skin, somehow feeling the silk and the coldness from it makes me feel calm and relaxed. "Alright, I'm ready."

Erza orders the girls out of the room and head towards the alter, I'm the last one to leave the room, but I can't. Something is missing from this day, but what is it. I have something blue, borrowed, old... "How could I forget something so important." I set my flowers down and walk over to my bag near the couch. Bending down, I unzip the side pocket. I take my earrings and replace them with the bright green ones. Peridot is what the jeweler said, the month for august.

Grabbing my flowers once again, I start heading towards the alter as well, All the girls are lined up with their dates, waiting to enter. I stand behind all of them, taking in easy breaths. One by one, each couple walks down to the music playing softly. Then my own music plays, everyone stands up as I enter the alter. I smile at all those looking at me, only to look to the very front to see him standing there.

His smile is different than, everyone else's. It shows pure love and kindness. I can see my whole future right, standing in a nice suit. I reach him and place my hand in his, I give Lucy my flowers and stand before the priest. "You love so beautiful." I smile shyly at him and look down, he lets go of my hand and touches my earrings.

"My something new. Do you like them?"

"I love them..."

He kisses my forehead and we once again join our hands together as the priest begins his talk. The whole time he talks, Zeref and I don't look at anything else, but each other. We exchange our vows and rings and say our I do's. "You may now kiss the bride."

Zeref puts his hand on my cheek and his arm around my waist, We share the sweet kiss, in front of our friends and family. Applause are head all around us and some sobs from behind me.

Today I woke up, just as one person with an last name I will never use again. Zeref is the best thing that ever came into my life and now, I get to spend the rest of my life with him, those plans that we've talked about are finally coming true.

"I love you Mrs.Dragneel."

"I love you too Mr.Dragneel."
