Like them?

Today is a nice day to give Zeref is gift, he's been feeling down cause he killed the flower crown I made him. He really loved that crown and he looked so cute with it on. Thinking about how his face was and how huge his smile is makes my heart sing. 

"Mavis did you hear me?"

"Hmm? Oh Zeref, how long have you been standing there?"

"Not too long, but what are you grinning about?"

Was I grinning? Oh that's embarrassing. I laugh awkwardly and look away from him. He pokes my cheek and chuckles. Hearing him do that, makes me smile again. He must be feeling better, that's good. 

"You're doing it again. What going on in that little head of yours?"

"It's just nice to see you smiling again. I know you've been feeling down about the flower crown."

"Oh yeah...the crown."

He looks down and clenches his fists. I grab onto his hand and cup his cheek. He already has some tears steaming down his face and I wipe them away with my thumb. He sniffs gives me a sheepish smile. 

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring it up. Don't cry."

"I know, you worked hard on it and..."

"Don't think about it anymore. I can always make you another one."

Now he smiles at me threw his tear stained face. I smile at him as well and wipe his face off. I kiss his cheek to make him feel better. 

"Thank you Mavis."

"Don't thank me, I just want you to be happy."

"You make me happy."

He pecks my lips and pinches my nose. I giggle at him and he chuckles at me. He loosens his hand and laces his fingers with mine.

"Let's go to the hill and sit."

"Lead the way."

We walk threw the grass and I stop every now and then and pick some flowers so I can make another crown for him. I get the small yellow daises and run up the hill to see him facing towards the sun. I take this time to admire his frame, his broad shoulder and back and the way his hair shines from the sun.

"Are you going to just stand there or are you going to sit."

"Uh sorry."

I move my feet and sit next to him, my face is hot from him knowing I was starring at him. I hear him laugh at the sight of my face. I put the daises in front of me and place my hands in my lap. The air is chilly and the sun is starting to set, the sky is a deep orange and red. Its so beautiful.

"Zeref, have you ever seen anything so beautiful before?"

"I have."

I look over to him, to see that he's looking at me with loving eyes. I smile and blush when I understand what he was saying. He scoots closer to me and puts his arm around my waist. He pulls me close to him I put my head on his shoulder and sigh.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing, everything is perfect."

He kisses the top of my head then place his head against my own. Everything is perfect, nothing is dying, no tears are being wasted. It's blissful. We sit her for awhile and watch the sun set behind the mountains. Soon the moon is seen along with the stars. 

"This was a nice afternoon huh Zeref."

"It was the best one yet. I hope that maybe there will be another one?"

"Of course there will be other ones silly."

I peck his lips and he smiles at me. I sit under a near by tree and pat the spot next to me. He sits right next to me and stares into my eyes. I can't help, but take in every detail of him, his jawline, his lip, his nose and his dark eyes. His whole being is wonderful and I love every fiber of him.

"Zeref, I love you."

"I love you too Mavis."

He moves some hair out of my face and place it behind my ear. He hits the wings on the side of my head and he panics.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to hit them."

"Don't worry."

I fix them and show him that everything is fine. He sighs and looks relived. Oh that reminds me. I tap his shoulder and he looks over at me. He raises an eyebrow and waits for me to say something.

"Close your eyes."

He closes his eyes and I get gift. First I kiss his lips and he smirks at me. I open the box and place them on top of his head. He scrunches his nose and slowly put his hands on his head. I cover my mouth so he doesn't hear me laugh, his hands feel the wings and he get bright red in the face.

"Uh Mavis? C-Can I open my eyes now?"

"Go ahead." I sing 

His eyes fling open and look side to side at his head. He touches them again and gulps, I clap my hands and laugh at how cute his is. I touch his wings and his face is now very red.

"Look Zeref, we're matching now."

"Looks like it."

"Aww, don't you like them?"

I look at him, first he opens his mouth, then closes it. He hates them. I sigh and feel like I might burst into tears. I sniff and rub my nose with my hand. Bad gift Mavis. I soon feel hands on my cheeks. I find myself looking at Zeref who smiles softly at me. He brings his lips close to mine and kisses me. It was gentle and soft, I put my hands on his wrist and kiss back just as gentle as him. We break away and lean against the tree holding hands.

"I love my gift, so don't think I hate it because anything you give me I will love."

"You mean that?"

"Of course."

He rubs my cheek with his thumb and I lean into and close my eyes. 

"What a silly little girl you are."

"That's me."

He chuckles and turns to look at the moon. I do the same and look up to see how bright it is and how the stars are shining. 

"Zeref, did I ever tell you about my time on Tenrou?"

"Yes, but I'd love to hear it again."

"Alright."

I start to tell him about he guild I worked for and my best friend Zera. We spent the rest of the night telling stories to each other before we both fall asleep under the moon.
