He was anxious like a teenager. Screaming at his heart, to be controlled, he had driven off. There was peace; a sense of happiness engulfed him as he smiled unknowingly. That kiss from afar, meant for him, on his forehead... It could make him this happier, then what else her proximity would do! Wonders; that would be an ultimate resurrection he could experience. His smile brightened by each passing seconds, aiming his office, forgetting the shortcomings, problems, loss that both his personal and professional life was experiencing because of..., her!
Her eyes broadened, turning her face crimson. Did he just blush? Did he just hide his face from her, with his adorable grin, deepening those dimples, making him even handsomer? She harked back; he had furrowed his forehead, as if, yes...! She could feel her devil horns popping up; she could do it even after seven years, staying away from him. That was exciting her, but, she should control. This relationship is not normal. She could expect nothing. Revenge it was; what else she would do to make him embarrassed, like he did by kissing Pihu? However, he did not seem embarrassed but looked like he was waiting for this move, from her part. Whatever...!
"Ishima..., I'm not a kid!" Aditya smiled. His face resembled his father's, especially when he looks sheepish. Twice embarrassed; she tried to evade eyes from her grown up son. "C'mon Ishima, I know, you were trying to show off in front of papa. Don't worry, papa won't misbehave in public. You can talk to me freely. He's not going to stop us from meeting." He explained. Her son proved to be innocent. He could not grasp the double-entendre in her action but thought she did it to show Raman that she can love her son whenever she wants; no one could stop her. "I hope so, Adi." Ishita lagged and headed for her clinic, with Aditya in tow.
Back in the Bhalla house, there was a teeth-screeching saga going on inside Shagun's bedroom. She could not compose herself. The hatred Raman has for her, the nonchalant behavior of Pihu, the I-do-not-care attitude of Aditya, ignorance of the entire Bhalla clan, coldness of her younger brother, topping everything the return of Ishita Iyer! Never had she envisioned this situation where everything will go back to where it all started fragmenting her; the day when Raman married Ishita. She strained, throwing a vase in a corner, making sure it would not hurt her pedicured feet.
"I'm not going to let her snatch my Raman and Pihu!" Shagun hissed. "They are mine." Looking at the mirror, she reminded. "I've been living here, just because I love Raman. I want him back. I know, he doesn't love me..." She groused. "...he would never." She brood over the day when he insulted her very existence.
She had tried all ways possible to get his attention; in the pretext of consoling him. Taking Ishita's name itself was grudging her. Still, she did. That day when he was crying, holding Ishita's saree; what the fuck he is doing with a piece of cloth? The first thing came in her mind was that. She caressed his hair, the back of his head, his shoulder and an almost peck on his forehead saying, "Please stop crying, Raman." He had pushed her off so mercilessly. He is a brute! She was on the floor, looking at him horrified when he glared her.
"Don't dare come close to me, Shagun! Who the hell are you to enter my bedroom without my permission!" He snared, dragging her out of the room. She was walking or he was lugging her out? She did not remember exactly but his nails were pricking her, wounding her arm as the sleeveless nightgown could not immune her skin. "Raman, I was...trying to-" An explanation was needed to keep up her perfect character. "Shut up! Just shut up!" He shushed her and slammed the door on her face.
"How dare him!" Shagun could still feel his wrath. She did not even kiss him! She could not fill the spaces between them these years. The truth was, she did not dare. Anger was still the sole inbuilt emotion primarily snaps in Raman Bhalla, which she does not want to face. She would do something to keep Ishita away from the Bhallas. She could still play her cards; she is expert at scheming; the nth failures are exception. "I know what to do." She wiped her tears, once again keeping aside her grief of not having any man in her life permanently from when she left Raman.
