"It's going to be awesome!" Pihu rolled on the bed, coming back to hide in Aditya's embrace as they cuddled in the blanket. "Yes, it's going to be!" He agreed as they sat up on their knees, keeping their head in their palms. He could not still overcome the pleasant shock! Sharing it with the one person who is a positive Pandora box, Pihu, he flushed in anticipation. Abhimanyu entering their mother's life was never too bad; he would always agree that. He saved her; being the reason for the death of their unborn sibling still nagged him though. His father would have done the same, but that would not clean the other man's image. It should be solely Raman Bhalla's decision when a mere friend counts. Those reminiscences would shadow the happiness; he did not want that. This is to be happy, not to hark back and regret, or cry, or weep for anything past.
"How's it going to come? I want to see! I'm so excited! Can we, can we now know...if it's a boy or a girl?" She chirped happily. "Even I am, Pihu. But we need to wait, calmly." He advised; she was an understanding kid but the news was making her go weird, vibrating. "Ayyo amma, I can't wait to see the baby!" She jumped in the bed once again. "Offoo...Pihooo, the baby's yet to come! I'm just guessing," He tried to keep her edginess under control but the kid was all in dreaming about the baby who is going to be pinkie-color-dolly!
"I'm going to love the baby like you do to me, Adi bhayya!" She sighed dreamily. "We're going to be a team!" She repeated, as he looked on amused. "I can't wait to touch her soft-tiny-pinkie hands. Those, ayyoo, I'm gonna die!" She touched her cheeks as they burned. She would not stop tonight, he chuckled continuing their secret talk. "I want a baby sister!" Aditya agreed to Pihu's wish as they rocked back and forth, hitting their foreheads at times, murmuring things only they could decipher.
"Adi...?" Taking cautious steps, Raman tried to reach out for the blanket, under which what appeared was a serious discussion. "Pi-hu?" He chuckled when she retracted her little foot and giggled without letting her birdie voice loud. "Secret conference, huh?" Sitting afar in the bed, he tugged at the blanket, making them halt their quickened conversation, showing their cheeky faces at him, visibly nervous. "Papa!" Aditya shouted half-nervy, as if he was hiding something. "Is there something I should know?" Raman narrowed his eyes, while the duo shook their head in denial. There was something cooking up; his kids are no innocent, he was surefire. However, that was not the point!
"Uh-adi, I-I wanted to ask you something. You know, it's..." He started, slowly letting the subject trail away when he watched his daughter's curious eyes thrown up on him. A short breath, he walked up to her, smiling at her glowing eyes. "Pihu, aren't you sleepy, baby?" He knelt down taking her in his arms. "It's okay, papa. We'll sleep together. You're disturbing us." Aditya added making him roll his eyes. These two are! "I want to talk to you, Adi. She's too small for the topic." Raman pointed but Pihu was fast enough to escape his hold and wrap herself around her brother's torso; she would not let a news skip her ears. "I'm not going to leave him. We're a team. We're planning to expand!" She grizzled; her words were not given much mind, as Raman implored through his eyes at his son. "Yes, of course, we are!" He heard him stressing it, so as to make him leave them in their privacy.
"It's serious..." He said looking everywhere but Aditya. "Uh?" He leaned forward with Pihu still clutched on to him. "...about uh, the...the report?" Raman spilled it nervously, quizzically. "Di-did you-did you read that?" He watched as his son's eyes brightened up. Even Pihu's head snapped to his direction as she flashed a wide grin. "Oh?" He could not figure out the meaning, but his breathing labored in tension. "So you're making the baby, soon, papa?" Pihu could not contain the excitement. "Shush! Pihu! Shit!" Aditya cursed trying to close her mouth; she could not understand why her brother is trying to shut her when their father is aware of the matter. Why so serious?
