Did he just say that?! Shagun gasped. Did he think she is homeless and living in his mercy? He is totally wrong! "I've a home! I've a brother and I'm not a refugee, Raman!" She gritted. "...still you tend to act like one, Shagun. Look at you! Where you're standing. This's not where you belong to. You don't belong here. You don't belong to me. You can't flaunt around the false hopes; I won't ever accept you." He was cold and composed that threatened her. She took some sharp breaths; she needed to come up with a powerful squelch, to keep up her unbeatably insolent tongue. "I stay here for a reason." Her jaw clenched.

"...and the reason is the lamest!" He completed. "Shagun you got to understand this. This situation is not what's mattering. Her physical presence is never a question. Are you getting me? You cannot have me, Shagun." He sighed. He could not be cooler than this. This woman has gone overboard today and hurt Ishita too much that she seemed to have went into a shell; does not caring how bad he was feeling right now. "You always asked me what's the difference between you and Ishita, and I was always clear about it. The difference is, you're not Ishita. It's all about her and nothing else matters; you don't matter. I love her," He trailed. He would never be able to explain how unfathomably he had fallen for that woman.

"I lived with you more than she did." She glared him. "I don't remember." He retorted callously; Shagun cowered. "I just don't remember a single moment you made me happy or feel loved. It was just Adi and Ruhi, and I lost one. I respect you for bearing my kids. There's nothing else. Pihu's was an act of generosity from your part and I owe you," He stopped. "...what?" Her heartbeat hitched. What he would owe her for bearing Pihu? She could demand rightfully, could not she? She needs to ponder on it. "...money." He scoffed. "Though, legally I don't owe you a penny." Her eyes narrowed. "You think you'll settle me with your money?"

He rubbed his temple seriously. "Why would I? We don't have a contract, do we?" Letting out a humorless chuckle, he resumed. "Shagun, it's easy for me to get rid of you, but I don't want police enter my home, again." A silent warning stayed behind in his voice. She should really leave, right? Shagun stood thinking over it. Nothing is going to work as per her plan, argh! "You won't do that!" Her words stopped him midway. "...you won't even know, Shagun." His smirk was not something she would enjoy; in fact, she does not have a record of watching him smirking. It was her esteemed profession from the beginning; smirk and Shagun was a deadly pair.

She had spent hours sitting in the living room. The common bathroom was not a space she has had her errands all these years. She is more of a private person, with some public traits to exasperate the souls around her. Nevertheless, she could not keep her hands off the shopping kits. She had bought some stunning blouses, with sleeves and shoulders on! A twisted part in the legendary escapades of Shagun; she needs to change her fashion a bit. Hell, she had tried this once in the past, adapting Ishita's style to attract Raman but failed big time. Is she going with the plan or calling up Mihir and save the impending humiliation? She needed to rethink; his demeanor scared her to the core. It was the last thing she anticipated from Raman; some helpless cries and screams were comestible, but this!

Once Ishita came out of the room, she had let out a frustrated breath before going inside. Ignoring Shagun and her extremely fancy words under breath, she went to the kitchen. She had a little chattering with Simmi and Toshi, while hearing the loud giggle cum laughter from Aditya's bedroom. Apparently, he was having fun with Pihu and Ananya. "...how's the lunch, bhabhi?" Simmi asked right when Shagun happened to come out. She halted hearing Simmi addressing Ishita; she never called her that, why? "...the food was tasty, Simmi, but some people still tastes bitter." Her words directed to Shagun whose eyes were shooting on the back of her head; she knew it. "I'm so sorry, puttar." Toshi was genuinely sorry for how it turned out, as she had a talk with her grandson earlier. If only she could make a change.
