"I'm a fairy!" Pihu beamed. "Yeah, that you are." Raman chuckled looking at the way she raised her chin, as if she could feel a hallow that was brightening around her head. She dropped her shoulders tiredly and cuddled him. "So what fairies do to make their mom happy?" Her anxiousness left her fiddling with his shirt buttons. "Fairies share their bedroom with their moms, and cuddle with them. Kiss them, say I love you, and never sulk or be angry." He listed out. "Huff! I can't be cranky!?" She would become a bit dramatic at times. He pecked her chubby cheek. "Do anything but make your Ishima happy." He was desperate now. "I'm so nervous! I haven't tried making her happy until now!" Her palms went sweaty; more like her father.
He watched when she slipped down his lap and sauntered past, inside the guestroom. She is so tiny; he could not help but be in awe! Pihu always made him be this dreamy. She is Ishita's baby, which was nothing but a miracle, his dream; dream walking around him chirpily all the time. He was not sure if he should go inside. Maybe his presence would make her feel distressed once again. He was being too much cautious after realizing how his words and decisions have left a scar in her heart. He chose not to suffocate her; even so he knows she has lax now, after pouring her heart out. It tormented him to know that she has not cried or complained until she got him.
"...Adi, it's okay baba..." He heard Ishita saying as she patted his head. Was not he supposed to take care of his mother but see; he was sleeping keeping his head on her lap. She is pampering him when she is weak, both physically and mentally, which is not done. Pihu was on Aditya, playing with his hair as she nuzzled his chest to sleep probably; it was too early for her to wake up. "Ishima," Ishita turned to Pihu when she heard her. "...I love you." She smiled and he was glad to watch how Ishita's face lit up. That was it. That was just that easy for Pihu! She is truly a fairy! He saw Ishita bending, mirroring those words, and pecking Pihu's temple as her little spongy palm stroked her mother's cheek. She has a way to show her love; mostly by caressing her beloved; he could not help but remember how Ishita would do it every time she needs to get his attention. His hand instantly went to his cheek; she has him bewitched in some innocent ways.
"I can't have a leave today, Adi." Raman muttered when he heard his son pleading him to stay back for the nth time. "Please, papa." Aditya pouted. They could not just get him agree to everything by those pouty faces; argh! "Okay fine, why would I?" He agreed, partially though. "Me, Pihu, Ishima and you, we're going out for lunch. Ishima will feel better." He quipped excitedly. Why could not he get such ideas? He used to come up with nice ideas, some successful and mostly flops; but at least he used to try. Old age made him boring and inactive in some scenarios, he mused. "That sounds great, Adi." He nodded. "It's Pihu's plan actually." Aditya said while munching on his food.
"Eh?" Raman raised his eyebrows as his face slanted from the plate. "Yep." He heard his son confirming he heard it right. His kids have come a long way and he still is stuck somewhere away. Even the date plan did not work. If he truly wished, it would have. He is not taking this serious, he thought. There, he remembered; he promised of remarrying Ishita this week itself. "She was talking about it last night?!" he took a whole night to grasp her words. "The lunch will be perfect to tell kids about it. Yes!" He thought grinning wide. "Are you okay, papa?" Aditya creased his eyes at an unusually smiling Raman. "The lunch isn't funny! We're going to make Ishima happy and you please stop making such weird faces." Aditya touched his heart dramatically.
"Weird? No Adi," They saw Ishita walking to the dining table. "It's cute." She said making the Raman Bhalla blush. He took few seconds to wash off that blushing puppy face and put a normal, obvious cross one. "We're going for lunch today." He informed before Aditya could say. "Is it you, Raman?" She could not believe what she has just heard. He is worried for her, she knows. He is apparently trying to make her feel better, but that does not mean lone time with him. She wanted to be with her kids and him; the four of them. Is it possible? "They planned." He motioned to Aditya, his eyes went sideways to the guestroom; she sighed. "I'm sure you need some family time. We need it." He muttered getting up as she watched, grasping his words.
